Pocono Vacation Park Reviews
Attitude from person at desk in a condensing way. Actted like everyone knew how to get into gate. No real signs. Its like a grass covered parking lot. Spaces jammed up against each other with no real privacy to mention. I'd only go there if I was desperate. Not very special at all.
May 05, 2025 · Byron MaiGood location, the short term sites are a good size. The interaction with the office ladies was not good. We checked in and went to pay and was told we owed $65 more than what was quoted and written down as being owed. I mentioned it to the older lady that was helping us and she got very upset and raised her voice and said that the number of days was wrong and we owed more. I paid and after setting up I looked at our receipt and we were charged for 10 days and not the 9 we were staying.I talked to Heather at the gate and she was very nice and said that Peggy could help us in the office the next day to get the extra night refunded. No problem, this happens and I wasn't overly worried about, just wanted the extra night refunded eventually. I went in the next day to talk to Peggy about the refund. She was quite short with me and said she already knew all about it and to just give her my card to refund. I wanted to discuss with her the possibility of extending our stay for about a month if that was possible. After some sighs and grunts and throwing up of hands she said they may have a spot. I told her I would know later in the day if I would need to extend and would get back her and we could wait on the refund till then.We decided that after the interaction with both Peggy and the other office lady that we would not extend, we felt unwelcome and a burden. I went back to the office to tell Peggy we would not be extending and would like the refund of the extra day they charged us. While I was in the office she was all chatty and laughing with the full timers from the park that were in the office but when it came time for me to talk to her she was blunt and rude. I had to give her my card and also asked if I could purchase propane. She grunted and sighed again, acting like I was asking for a miracle. After the refund was processed and propane was purchased, she threw my card at me and told me to sign the receipts and go outside to wait for the person to help me with the propane. After being treated that way, we decided to leave early, and it was just a terrible experience. We will not be going back. So just a heads up that you may encounter some not so nice individuals working the office.
Nov 02, 2024 · Michael WatsonPVP is a great place to stay/visit. They have 50 and 30 Amp full hookups. The camp sites are a nice size. They are pull through for ease. The roads are gravel and well maintained even in Winter! The camp does have wifi. PVP is open year round for workers and campers just passing through. It is a great place.Very family friendly, but not a lot of noise. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. They could have more things to do, but you're in the Pocono Mountains so there is a lot to see and do. There are no laundry facilities on site. There is a laundromat within 15 minutes of the camp ground. The camp is located in a great place, easily accessed from Hwy 611 and Hwy 209. The camp is within a short driving distance to a few resorts and casinos. Restaurants are abundant within 5 minutes of the camp.
Sep 24, 2024 · Patricia EdwardsIt's not your typical campground. I'd say it is rustic. Most everyone there looks like permanent residence. But the people I met were very nice and the park was quiet at night. I had a good stay overnight and the ladies in the office were very accommodating. I would stay there again if I'm ever passing through.
Sep 21, 2022 · J LThis place was great when we needed it! Who would have thought that finding a all season rv in this area would have been so hard(I kid). Despite that, we could not get the wifi(any of them) to work for us, which considering the weather was so bad outside left us kind of with very minimal things to do. We made do, but for some people wifi access is a need. Friendly staff, friendly people, a LOT of permanent residents, and a small store.
