★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I really did like this place until I didn't. I stayed here for about 10 months. Internet was awful. You'd be lucky to get a signal when everyone else is asleep. They'd shut your water off with NO WARNING to upgrade or work on the water lines. I was taking a shower before work and the water got shut off. Thankfully I had freezing cold jugs of water to rinse off with. They shut the water off when it's freezing outside but then when it's above freezing it would still be off. I dealt with it all winter long. The manager seemed nice until my rv got repossessed (due to my own financial struggles). This is where things went south so fast. The lot rent had just been paid a couple days prior. Unfortunately I was on my way to go take care of my father so I couldn't get my things. Come to find out from the repo guy the manager just started throwing away my kid's bikes and other things that were outside the camper. When I came back to the campground to get my mail it wasn't there and someone was in my old lot. Not a huge deal but they still had my money, threw away my property and when I called about my mail I asked if he sent it back and he said "yes" only to find out that it was never sent back.I wasn't a problem neighbor. I kept to myself. There was 2x that they said there was a problem with my payment but I always had the money in the bank. It's a shame that this went the way it did because I was planning on coming back after I had this figured out. Now every time I pass Plum Nelly I'm thankful to no longer be there. If you decide to stay here be careful.
May 19 · Stephanie BarkerI own a business here in Ellijay and needed a peaceful place to stay close to my business. Plum Nelly Campground was perfect for me. I stayed here for close to a year. I felt safe, it was always peaceful, and quiet. I would recommend this Campground to anyone
April 18 · Donna LouhichiStayed here and wish we hadn’t. We’re not told that they were having water freezing issues and water may be turned off from 9-4, had no water yesterday. First got here, guy staying here said good luck getting wifi, they have 3, he said he had to go buy something. Here a month and none of WiFi’s will even show on tvs. So we get to stare at the walls for a month oh and did I tell you it’s $850 a month with no tv and may or may not have water. Did laundry and girl in laundry room tells my husband someone stole her laundry!!! So I’d be careful before staying here. Tries talking to guy that runs it a couple of times and he was rude both times and told me I needed to check elsewhere. Like it’s our fault the wifi doesn’t work, laundry gets stolen and the other things.
February 18 · Megan HastingsI like this campground a lot. It’s nice and quiet, the owners are nice and it’s affordable! Unlike the other places in town that are outrageous and don’t feel nearly as cozy.
April 15 · Brandy DantinBased on the reviews, I expected better. When we arrived, there was no one at the office. Another resident directed me to the manager's campsite. Only his wife was there, and could not check us in. She was able to contact another person who came and took us to our site (#48). All the sites are grass/gravel and there is no asphalt anywhere in the campground. They give you no campground information. The site was plenty large enough, but horribly unlevel. I spent quite a bit of time and a lot of boards to get it reasonably close to level. The sites are spaced out quite well, the location is good, the check in person, once I found one, was quite nice. We've stayed in hundreds of campgrounds all across the country and I can't give this one any better than a 3 rating.
