Jun 07, 2025 · Alex JI've been visiting this campground for many years. My family first started coming here when we were kids, and have continued the yearly tradition into adulthood. The campground has had various improvements over the years, most notably a new check in building and the addition of a food truck. The shops are less than a 10 minute drive away. While Pinewood does have a small store (which is well stocked), it doesn't have everything and being able to quickly drop by Market Basket/Walmart has been a campsaver a couple of times. You're in the woods, and the bathrooms reflect it. SO MUCH NICER than other campgrounds I've been to (multiple buildings with toilets and hot water showers), but prepare immediately for large bugs in those out buildings. This campground is a bit pricey, compared to others in New England. But, this is very much a family centric campground. Very good for kids, in a convenient location. Come here if it's your first time camping.
