Pine Point Campground Reviews
We tent camped at Pine Point with our kids in June and had a great time.Campsites have plenty of space for large or multiple tents. There are shared water faucets and pit toilets. The sites nearest the reservoir are gorgeous. We were staying a little further back and we could still see the water and had lots of shade. There were quite a few campsites that were open even during peak season. If you are looking for a first come first serve campsite 10am would be a good time to arrive. Many outgoing groups are packed up by then and you would have your pick of open sites. There is easy access to the water from this campground and that's the main reason to come! Paddle boards, fishing gear or kayaks can easily be taken onto the water from this site. There's no store but you can get firewood from the friendly camp hosts. There is a well stocked general store on the other side of the reservoir, and a couple of restaurants too.The road around the reservoir is around 14 miles. We cycled most of it but it gets busy with cars by the afternoon and my kids were done after 10 miles. Cycling the route early might be more fun (with less cars). There are stables near this campsite too, that offer trail rides.Overall, we had a great time at this campground and would definitely stay again.

Jun 21, 2023 · M RFive stars when water in lake, 1 star when empty. Been going here for years . Always beautiful, last visit they failed to tell us and other campers that the lake was 90% empty . Was not happy to find this out after driving 8 hours , bought a kayak for no reason.
Jan 14, 2019 · Brian DowneySuper chill spot with plenty of shade and beautiful views. There’s a vault toilet that doesn’t smell bad and is fairly clean. If you plan on fishing make sure to get your fishing license handy. The park ranger was quick to spot us and ask for it.We had no problem with cell service. Overall great experience! I will definitely be back.
Jul 03, 2021 · Stephanie VenturaSuch a great campground! It is very close to the reservoir, secluded but close to the road and the hosts were fantastic! They helped us with some last minute changes to our reservations and came by to check on the guests frequently bringing treats for our pup!
