Pictured Rocks RV Park Reviews
Pros: large sites with full hook up, close to munising, it’s fairly cheapCons: no trees so no shade, most of the RV park is not paved, no walking trails leading to the Lake Superior (have to cross a busy road).3-starts mainly because we were lied to about the sites being full. We had a pictured rocks tour and would need to check out one hour later but they were full but when I said I can pay for another day, they had an available site! In fact, half the RV park was empty when we left.We stopped at the the Bay furnace state campground to check out the sites, the sites are spacious, lots of trails and the picnic area is on Lake Superior with a beach. They had lots of empty first come, first come spots empty.
Jun 25, 2025 · Dipika PatelOnly a few miles from Munising, which was perfect. Foggy’s steakhouse is right across the street for food, plus the casino is close, if that’s your thing. Most all sites were level in the campground, but if you need something perfectly level, choose the middle of the park. Also, if you want a WiFi signal, choose something close to the bathhouse. Sites furthest from the office couldn’t get a signal. I’m docking a star for the layout of the sites. Typically, electric boxes are in the back of a site. They were towards the front, which made hooking to the sewer for full-hookup impossible without a longer hose. However, they were very dog friendly with dog refuse containers and pickup bags throughout the park. They also had firewood available for purchase. If you need a ride to town, check out Altran for an inexpensive ride
Jun 29, 2025 · Scott UngerThis is a newer park that was built for big rigs. Concrete pads, 45° angles for easy back-ins.10 minutes to Munising.
Jul 06, 2025 · Brian FooteVery quiet RV park. No shade trees, but each site has full hookups. I would stay there again.
Jun 30, 2025 · Linda ZeeVery long and spacious sites! Easy to navigate. Helpful staff. Very quiet campground.
