★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1A fantastic place to stay! This is a lovely campground with great amenities, friendly staff, large sites, strong electricity, beautiful grass spaces and gorgeous views.I stated here in a large rig with a large group during our travels and volunteer work and was impressed by the park. The pull through was probably the longest I have ever seen and gave us ample space for our rig. The sunsets over the lake were a treat every evening. The park was quite and peaceful and the giant chairs they have for the public to sit in are really cool and relaxing. The staff, Megan and Kaylee and the owner were all very kind and warm. They bent over backwards to accomodate our stay and make it a wonderful spot to be.Thank you all! I definitely recommend this park. Our experience was 5 Stars.
September 13 · John JPretty decent place some of the dirt RV spots have really low spots in them it's very difficult to get your RV level they can use a little more space between RVs I couldn't let my awning all the way out without touching someone else's slide out. I believe the owner has a construction business his dump truck drivers don't give a damn about nobody or nothing on the road or within the site. The trash dumping area gets out of hand. The staff is really nice You're some good people that are staying here long term it's decent enough that I will continue to stay. While I'm here working.
July 31 · Michael WilliamsCamping as I write this review. The campground described on the webpage is not what you get once you arrived.Positives: ladies in the campstore are nice and helpful. My site was a paved site with full hook ups. Pet friendly. Quiet at night. Wide road to my campsite. Picnic table and grill at my site. Negatives: Noisiest campground I have ever been in. Dump trucks in and out of campground from early morning until early evening. Air field near by with helicopter flying over during the day. Traveling contractors campground paradise, in and out all day. Park is set up for mainly annual campers, not a fun family camping place. Pool, playground, volleyball court, any outside activities ammendities do not appear to be well maintained. Dumpster area and bath house are far in the backside of the campground , not practical for family campers. Roads are a mixture between paved and very narrow gravel roads. Entrance to park isn't secure, and not easily spotted from the highway.Lake from my campsite looks nice, but when you walk there, the shores need cleaning up and trash removed. Annual campers area in most of the park needs to be cleaned and tidied up.This campground is not a good site for family camping adventures. This will be my last time here.Campground review #2- Positives: Visited pool area today however still concerned about maintenance of pool. The pool area is a large space, there are pool side chairs and a few umbrellas for your use. Negatives:only one garbage can at poolside that has not been emptied for a while. Campstore is borderline useless for needed family camping items and mementos that make a camping trip fun and special. Dust cloud from the constant in and out of dump trucks and the speed they drive at, covers my vehicle, camper, and campsite with dust.Positive: The campgrounds only bath house mens side looked clean but not a adequate size for this size park, and in the need of repair.Negative: The wifi is weak and comes and goes out. We also had to pickup trash from last campers at our site when we arrived.A.M DAY 4: positive: it appears all campsite have fire rings at each site. 5mph small speed limit sign at fron entrance. Negatives: dump trucks in and out of park all day speed limits be damned. Such a large park with only one bathhouse in it doesn't make a lot of since.Race track got fired up last night and are here until Sunday( more loud noises). Both positive and negative: the park has uneven speed bumps throughout the park.Looking out from my site the park has some trees throughout it,which could count as a positive, however right above my site there is a greasey looking huge black tank that obstructs the view. Questions may arise why haven't you left by now? Answer: There is no refund given on your campsite cost.A.M. DAY5: Campground on weekend has filled up on the few sites available that are for family campers.Positive or negative: The small cabins here are duplex cabins and are extremely small. Lake doesn't appear to be a great fishing lake, however the few fisherman I talk to said it can be hit and miss depending on the day you choose to fish. The lake does not appear to be stocked. There is no Campground rangers or security, uhm you decide if that is important. Positive: So far the campsite water supply, sewer, and electricity, seem to have functioned well. My neighboring campers all seem to be nice camping type of people. Negative: The campground chooses your site for youand you don't get to pick from the few sites they have available for family campers. There is a tree on my site which would be nice, if the massive roots did not stick up above the ground causing it to limit your usable space and worst causing a major tripping hazard for me and my wife. There is no fast food service provided here.A.M. DAY6: Nothing much has changed since last review. Upon purchasing a camping site insure you enquire on how your good sams club pricing can be used here. P.M. DAY7: Dump trucks are at it again. Went walking with my wife on our 42nd Anniversary got covered us in dust. No for family camping.
September 03 · Dwayne EvansRight next to Virginia Motorsports Park. I have not used the campground yet, but others (who have I am pitted near at the race track), told me good value, 10 bucks to use all the pool in a day you want...heard from them that improvements have happened recently there. Only negative I have witnessed with my own eyes as I woke up this morning and thought the day is all that dump truck activity to the N.E. of the campground in and out and dumping or picking up...must have been a hundred loads or more (I could not tell which to be certain), and the driving over dusty dirt or gravel roads at speed (I never saw any water trucks wetting the roads there where all those dump trucks were kicking up tons of dust into the air and it was blowing everywhere including into and through the campground, lake and even the dragstrip property...it certainly is an air quality hazard though in AZ or CA they would never get away with that kind of a mess without getting fined huge repeated clouds of constant dust (for hours on end at least from 9AM-3:30PM Tues. 9-2-25 and it was a constant fog of fine Grey dusty particulates in the air and polluting according to the other commenters their own campground customers amongst others.
September 02 · Gary LucierStart out with the positives: full hookup, paved parking pads for your rig, even have paved spots for the picnic tables on the premier sites, privately owned, nice view of lake, nice pool, very nice seating areas by lake/pool (chairs are top notch composite material)l, location to VA Motorsports Park. The negatives: definitely not for family camping. Lots of construction workers temporarily living at the campground and cheap little cabins riddled throughout. The entrance isn't inviting, we passed it up bc I thought it was a landscaping/shed sales company. The playground, volleyball court, bathhouses, general store are not well maintained. No security to stop rif-raf from coming in... Was not made aware of the endless construction and dump trucks rolling through for expansion. It has potential but it would probably need to be emptied out, gutted, and re-opened under new ownership. That would probably be financially impossible for most, so it's probably lose-lose for current owner. But I would definitely focus on improving what's existing instead of expanding. Unfortunate bc we support privately held campgrounds, this is just one we will not be returning to unless I'm with a group of friends for a race weekend.
