Pat Mayse East Campground Reviews
It’s a beautiful place to camp and ride horses. The trails had been cleared out beautifully. Very nice pens for your horses. The only thing I wish is that the sites were more level. We had the back end of our motorhome up on four blocks, as well as having to raise it with our stabilizer jacks. I’ll show it would be nice if they had restrooms with water.
Dec 05, 2024 · Beth BelflowerThe campground itself was not bad. The bathroom was clean, even being a vault toilet, and it had a light, which is more than I can say for most vault toilets. The campground host was super nice. The swimming area wasn't bad. However, the website said the site I reserved was a pull-thru site. It was not. There are no pull-thru sites here. It also said my site had water hookups. The closest one was about 30 yards away. Definitely not close enough for a hose to hook up to. My site was not very level either. But, it's not a bad place to stay for a few nights, or if you have a working water pump. There is a water fill and dump station just outside the campground. And, several horse corrals, along with a horse trail, if you want to bring your horses.

May 16, 2022 · Beverly BallWe love staying at pat mayse east camp ground. Ron is the greatest camp host around! He makes sure we have a great stay and enjoy seeing him everytime we stay! I just wish the B loop wasn't closing on the 1st because this is our favorite part of the lake to stay and we plan on camping in the winter.
Sep 28, 2024 · Cheryl SimpsonWe love all the COE campgrounds on Pat Mayse lake. This one is equestrian friendly. If you choose equestrian sites they are wider and and longer. They even provide proper fencing so they don't have to stay in their trailer. Fencing isn't gigantic, though generous. I've seen 3 in one and they moved freely. There are 2 swimming areas. One is for people and the other is dedicated for horses. They even have their own beach. There is a boat ramp with ample parking. The Camp Host, Mr Tim & wife(I forgot her name.) are very attentive and have a wealth of information. The only downside is there are MANY armadillos moving about during the day & night. It's not uncommon for them to visit your campsite while you're out too. We've had to add extra support with their leashes and what we connect them to. We take our dogs with us. Where we live seeing them during the day means they're most likely rabid. During the night they dig up flowerbeds etc.
