Panther Flat Campground

4.0
Really beautiful campground. The whole thing is protected by a bluff so even if there is a lot of wind on the highway, the campsite itself is calm. Each site is clean and spacious but with enough foliage that you get decent privacy. And bathrooms are really nice, they have flush toilets, motion-sensor lights at night and are kept quite clean. And there is a cute creek a 5-minute walk away. Was really impressed with this one, highly recommend! - Sarah Barker

It sits alongside the scenic Middle Fork of the Smith River, just off U.S. Highway 199, approximately 9 miles east of the small town of Gasquet, CA. For California residents, particularly those in the northern and central parts of the state, reaching Panther Flat Campground is a straightforward and scenic drive, offering direct access to one of the state's most pristine natural environments.

The campground's direct access from Highway 199 makes it highly accessible for both cars and RVs. Reviewers note that some sites can comfortably accommodate RVs up to 30-40 feet, making it suitable for a variety of camping setups.
