Location and Accessibility
The Ozark Trail Eleven Point Terminus is strategically located in Birch Tree, MO 65438, USA. While its remote setting contributes to its charm and natural appeal, it also presents some specific considerations regarding accessibility, which are important for visitors to be aware of to ensure a smooth and enjoyable trip. Based on local feedback, the direct road leading to the trailhead can be challenging. It has been noted that this road is often poorly maintained and subject to erosion, making it nearly impassable for vehicles, even those with higher clearance like SUVs. This feedback is crucial for planning your approach. Instead of attempting to drive directly down this challenging road, a highly recommended alternative for visitors is to turn off and park near the intersection of County Road 430 and County Road 3173. From this more accessible parking spot, visitors can then walk the remaining approximately one mile down or up the hill to reach the trailhead and campground area. This approach ensures a safer and more enjoyable journey to the site, allowing you to bypass the problematic section of the road. While this requires a short walk, the scenic beauty of the surrounding area makes the trek a pleasant part of the overall experience. Planning for this alternative access method will significantly enhance your visit to the Ozark Trail Eleven Point Terminus, allowing you to focus on the natural beauty and recreational opportunities rather than navigation challenges. Its location, though somewhat rugged in its immediate vicinity, positions it perfectly for exploring the wider Ozark region, making it a prime spot for those coming from various parts of Missouri.

Ozark Trail Eleven Point Terminus Reviews
DO NOT drive down this road to the tralhead. It's down a horribly maintained road. The basics is the road is eroding away and it was nearly impassible even in a SUV with good clearance.Instead, turn off and park next to the road but right next to County Road 430/3173 and walk the last mile down/up the hill. The trail needs to be formally extended up the hill and a parking area put in there, it would help a lot with access.
