Jun 24, 2025 · Jo WilliamsHad a great 4th of July weekend with the family staying in one of the red roof cabins. Cabin was clean and comfortable and had everything you need to relax after a long day of fishing or riding dirt bikes on the many fantastic trails that are nearby!
Jul 08, 2025 · Travis HistedWe needed a spot between Winter Park and Encampment to spend the night on our 3.5 week bike touring trek from Denver to Seattle and happened to find this absolute GEM!!! As it turned out we were The Old Homestead Campground’s first guests as they have re-opened with new owners after a ~10 year period of closure. Mike and Lauren are amazing hosts and are in the process of renovating nearly everything on site (still a bit in progress on their opening day). Located in the beautiful majestic high mountain plateau of Rand, Colorado, they have a cluster of rustic, cozy cabins, that have echoes of so much history. Every cabin appears to have been completely updated inside and has so many personal touches. It was truly a memory of our trip that we will always cherish. Thank you Lauren and Mike
