Jun 12, 2025 · Kenneth FrenchThis is a good place to go visit time and time and again. Great for people who like the outdoors and would like to create memories with the family and friends, specially during the warmers months. Although I'm sure it would be nice during winter time too, but I do not know if they do this in winter time. For which the have nice looking cabins. As the place suggests it is a resort, so it is glamping, not camping. They do have buildings with showers, and toilets. They have a pool that is warm and open until 10:00PM (for adults 21+), and a jacuzzi. They also have a little water area for children to play at. They have cabins, yurts, and what they call "primitive style" sections, which are simply open spaces to lift your own tent or tents, to sleep in.We decided for a camping style practice set up, with our own tent. But we also brought in our own chairs, table (the site had a table and benches, and a fire pit ring), our own mini woodstove and other things to make the place a little home away from home for 2 nights. The place also has a beautiful lake and also canoes and kayaks to explore the area for $10/hr.For fire and cooking we brought our own wood, although they do sell wood there. The only thing is that the wood MUST be from CT. And no other state. We also brought our own little dog and saw bigger dogs, but I believe the pool and the mini-golfing is off limits to pets, UNLESS they are service dogs. They also have a Tennis Court and a beach area to play Volleyball.I did give 3⭐️ to the service only because someone at the guest desk had a bit of an attitude towards us. I guess they are not used to people like us visiting there (And that's all I'll say). Hopefully this will change. The rest of the people there where very nice though. They do have golf karts going up and down the place but those are for the people working there. So if you are near a bathroom building that's being cleaned, you have to leave your site and drive yourself to the nearest bathroom building. So maybe take turns is not a bad idea.Other than all that it is a place I'd go back to.
Jun 02, 2025 · Rokelpidio 1103Just spent memorial day weekend there and it was a great time. So much to do between the lake, pool, hot tub, mini golf and concerts on the beach. One of our favorite places, we will definetly be back.
May 27, 2025 · tony lanniExcellent RV resort in CT with hot tub and well maintained facilities. Lots of rules but the place was largely clean, quiet and comfortable. The place is big, so you can find a more private spot or closer to the activity facilities. We opted for a quiet site in the hills. The only drawback is this bath has only 2 main bathhouses which can be a bit of a walk. I think they should add a couple of small bathrooms without showers to provide better coverage. There is no golf carts unless there is a disability. Nice that there is less golf cart traffic, but there is a fair amount of walking required if your site is not near the facilities. We drove our car to the pool (parking was limited and closer restricted to 15 minutes only). They pick up trash throughout the day (it may be better if they pick just 1 time to limit trash being missed and eaten by animals over night). A few things could make this place even better, but it is still 5 stars for a lot of good reasons: nice store, clean facilities, great layout, lots of amenities other campgrounds do not offer. See you all there in the future.
Jul 17, 2024 · Scott DowlerMy wife and I stayed here with our 1 and a half year old recently for what was supposed to be a two night stay but we were having a good time and enjoying ourselves, so we decided to stay for one more night. We booked one of the premier cabins which includes AC, shower/toilet and cooking capabilities with indoor stove top and outside grill. This was mainly because of our little guy and we wanted him to enjoy himself which in turn would allow us to relax and have a good time as well. The cabin was super clean inside and out. silverware, pots and pans and dishware provided were all immaculate. Grill outside was practically brand new. Pool and splash pad were amazing (basically had the place to ourselves, we stayed mid week so the place wasn't too crowded). The lake was beautiful. The staff at the front desk were friendly and super helpful with any questions we had. We stayed off season so some of the offered amenities were not open yet, but we look forward to staying again when they are available. There are a lot of things to do for kids (boats, mini golf, playground and themed weekends). Overall we thought the place was great and can't wait to be back!
