★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1We needed an overnight stop between the Apostle Islands and Central Iowa. Thought we would give this place a shot. What we found was incredible. Large sites, well maintained, and friendly owners.
July 03 · Robert ReidMy apologies for not posting must sooner than this. We visited this beautiful campground the end of August 2021 and were pleasantly surprised with its remoteness, very clean, quiet and peaceful, away from the hustle and bustle of life. The owners were very nice, of whom guided us to our campsite. We were amazed that this wonderful escape was tucked behind their farm. I was a tiny bit skeptical at first, wondering where we were being led....but, once we arrived at the campground - wow. My wife, children and I were indeed pleasantly surprised and very amazed. Also, our site (#10) was situated in such a way that it would make it nice if another rig is with us next time, that we would be facing each other (my sister and her husband is with us on many trips). We had a wonderful time and wished we could've stayed longer than our overnight stay (on our way to CO from PA). Hope to be back again!
March 06 · Tom WoodsWe found this Gem of a campground by simple Google search looking for a one night stay on our way home from South Dakota to Illinois. The campground is tucked 1/2 mile away behind the family farm, passing a beautiful pond! Our site #2 was a pull through site and LEVEL! We never unhooked our 35 foot toyhauler! The bath house was very clean and well maintained! There was a very groomed play area for kids as well and A volley ball and horseshoe pit. If you are looking for the QUIET… simple place to stay.. we highly recommend Oakwood Trails! We cannot wait to return!
September 18 · Cheri WoomerCamped with our RV. This place was beautiful with lots of trees! Very quiet and enough fun things for the kids to enjoy (basketball hoop, volleyball court, playset, swings, etc). Even had a little hiking trail but we didn’t have enough time to check out. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a campground to stay at 🙂
June 17 · Kelly GrubermanGreat campground! So serene and I feel like I'm on my friends farm. Quiet. Clean, and well maintained. Would definitely stay again.
