O'Connell's RV Campground Reviews
Have been here in the past and enjoyed our stay but it was still yogi bear. Booked last year and was excited to come with family.. very disappointed.. found out it was yogis anymore which wasn’t big deal but what made me and many other families upset was how filthy the pools were.. they did not smell like chemicals at all, in fact they actually smelled like urine. The water was green when it had been a clear blue in past.. pool was dirty no one came to clean the surface so a guest staying did it instead.. the pool filters weren’t even working.. some of the pools/hot tubs were dirty/ empty.. there were hardly any activities when we went.. I understand they are short staffed but 100% unacceptable to have the pools left that way and expect customers to use them. The water in cabins smelled awful, never have I ever smelled the water like that before. Our cabin smelled like dog food as we tried to run the water. I’m well aware of the iron smell because of well water but something was off… we will not be coming back anytime in the near future until we see things have changed for the better.. lots of golf carts speeding and not stopping at signs they almost hit us walking
Jun 28, 2025 · Jay TorresWe've come to this campground with our RV and we have also stayed in the cottages several times. This time was our worst experience! Its July 1st and the ice and water machine is out of order. Took our $6, but got nothing in return. This wouldn't be an issue if the store was open, but guess what? That's closed. Text the number they give if theres a problem and the response we get is to see the front office. Go to the office and guess what else is closed?? The front office! And only 1 available pool open out of the 3. All activity centers are closed. Only thing to do is the pool. Nothing else for kids or family. How can any of this be closed in the middle of summer?? There are many people here and no workers! The only workers are the contracted landscapers putting in hundreds of plants, when everything else is looking run down and dilapidated. Spend the money on actual repairs! Giving this place a face-lift isn't going to help! Probably the last time we come to this place. Don't bother coming, this place has become too unpredictable!
Jul 01, 2025 · Eileen GallagherThe park was huge we had a beautiful grassy site but the 1 pool by our end of property was closed the 3 days we were there. Tried getting in clubhouse that was closed. When we checked in they just told us our site. We had to ask for gate code and map. There is a little beach area in the front but not inviting. There is slides and splash pad for kids but closed looked like some construction was going on. The wifi was very limited which was OK with us but the smell of the water even with the filter was horrible smelled like rust and the hot water was not clear. It must have been an amazing park in the past. Too bad is not now.
Jun 26, 2025 · Ana RamosMy family and I have stayed at O'Connell's for years back when it was a Jellystone it was much better kept. This year the smell of sulfur in the water was unbearable. The bathroom was dirty and there was a birds nest in the AC vent. To make matters worse, the pools were closed, hot tubs are not working, slides are closed, and the pool I did get a chance to use was murky. It had hair and gunk floating in it.We visit for our family reunion. This year my family rented close to 10 cabins and I heard a lot of the same feedback. One of the cabins had raw sewage coming out. They had to leave and stay at a hotel nearby. I wish I had done the same but, I decided to stay because of the family reunion.I have had great memories here and wish I could recommend that someone visits or even come back but I can't. The facilities are terrible, I saw two employees the whole time I was there. The lady at the front desk was not welcoming. It is so sad to see a place like this go downhill so fast.
Jun 27, 2025 · Monica RojasKEEP DRIVING. NOT GOOD FOR A QUICK STOP.This place is not what was advertised or what we hoped. Stayed for one night and that was too long.Everything broken down and closed. Waterslides broken and looks like they have been for awhile. Pool near us closed. Playground roped off with caution tape. This is place is a full summer time place where people rent a tiny house or bring their trailer.Pool was full of drunk, swearing people blasting inappropriate music. Lake has about 24 inches of swimming area. Showers need a scrub. Lot of loud music played from random golf carts in all hours of the night.Could not get away from here fast enough.
