North Fork Campground Reviews
Enjoyed the whole weekend. Such a beautiful area. The camp host came around and check on us, I did not get her name but she was friendly. The sites are spacious for tent camping. Everyone was quiet by 9-9:30. Quiet Hours are from 10pm- 6am. Also with it being in a national forest you can find branches and sticks for firewood. The hike to the falls is best for older kids (7+ yr old) and above. It is dry camping but I love it. They have a potable water spout from the spring. Camp host said someone checks it about once a week. Drank the water and loved it. I'm a water has a taste person and the spring water was so clean and crisp. The road in isn't bad. It's curvy because of the geography. Few holes here and there along the road but nothing bad that you can't get around.
May 26, 2025 · Ashley CBeautiful campground! We just spent the weekend there. Very quiet and peaceful. Clean. The drive is a little bumpy and the road narrow in some spots but it is paved the whole way, with some spots freshly paved, so it made it a fairly easy drive! Can't wait to go again!
Aug 08, 2022 · Christina RemijioGreat campground. Fairly small. Some sites are very close to the river. Most camp sites are fairly close together but a few are secluded and private. The road leading to the campground is in pretty rough shape and extremely narrow in some areas so if you are towing a camper or RV, you'll need to take it very slow.
Jun 12, 2019 · Keith SlagermanBeautiful campground. The road there is rough and windy, but once you arrive, you're in for a treat! Cool clear water in the river, swimming hole downstream, and bear lockers and toilets. Overall a very clean and nice place to relax only about 1.5 hrs from Sacramento.
Jul 10, 2019 · JonathanA hidden gem in the Sierra's. Camping is of course available but an RV would be a little difficult due to minimal spaces for them. The true treat of that campground is the small stream that runs through it and it's probably one of the most beautiful places I've seen in a while. Be careful hiking around the stream because it's small but has a very steep slope. I bring hiking shoes to get to the water and bring water shoes when you get there. The rocks can be pretty darn sharp on bare feet. It's a must go if and only the day trip for the stream.
