Noble Campground Introduce
For many Utahns, finding a camping spot that combines stunning, panoramic views with a sense of peaceful seclusion is the ultimate goal. Noble Campground, located near Sundance in the North Fork of Provo Canyon, is just such a place. Tucked away in the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest, this campground is a beloved local secret that provides an authentic mountain experience without a long drive from the populated areas of the Wasatch Front. The atmosphere is one of serene beauty, where the towering peaks of Mount Timpanogos and the surrounding landscape create a dramatic and breathtaking backdrop for your getaway. It's a spot where the views are so magnificent, they're guaranteed to make your social media friends envious, as one local reviewer put it. Noble Campground is a perfect destination for families, solo adventurers, and anyone who appreciates the unique and rugged beauty of the Utah mountains.
While Noble Campground can get a bit crowded during peak season, its popularity is a testament to its quality and charm. The campground offers a beautiful setting with a variety of campsites, some nestled among the trees and others offering more open, expansive views. The real highlight, however, is the direct access to some of the most spectacular hiking and biking trails in the region. Noble Campground is a starting point for an incredible adventure up to Kimball Camp, a challenging journey that rewards those in good shape with the priceless feeling of being the "only human there." For those seeking a less strenuous day, the area around the campground and the nearby Silver Lake Flat Reservoir offers plenty of opportunities for fishing and leisurely strolls. The cooler temperatures at this higher elevation provide a welcome respite from the summer heat in the valley, making it a perfect refuge during the warmer months. The combination of easy accessibility, stunning scenery, and endless recreational opportunities solidifies Noble Campground's status as a top-tier mountain retreat for Utah locals.
Noble Campground is located in a prime spot for both natural beauty and convenience. The address, Sundance, UT 84604, USA, places it within the stunning Provo Canyon, a short and scenic drive from the city of Provo. While some reviewers note that getting there can be a bit of an adventure, the beautiful drive is a part of the experience. The campground offers on-site parking for all visitors, ensuring that you have a secure spot for your vehicle. The accessibility of the campground itself is great for a wide range of visitors, with well-defined sites that are easy to access. While it may not have all the amenities of an RV resort, its rustic charm and location make it an ideal spot for tent campers and those who enjoy a more traditional, rugged camping experience. The campground's proximity to the beautiful Silver Lake Flat Reservoir is also a huge draw, as it provides a perfect setting for fishing and other water-based activities.
Despite being a more primitive campground, Noble Campground does offer some essential amenities that ensure a comfortable stay. The availability of clean public restrooms is a significant convenience that is highly appreciated by visitors. The sites are well-maintained and offer a good base camp for all your adventures in the surrounding area. While there may be no running water available at the sites, this is a minor detail when weighed against the spectacular views and endless recreational opportunities that the location provides. The campground is also "Good for kids," making it a safe and engaging environment for young ones to explore and learn about the outdoors. This combination of a remote, natural feel with a few key conveniences makes Noble Campground a great choice for those who want a true mountain getaway without having to sacrifice all modern comforts. September 13 · Maramack AOne of the best places in wasatch county !Panoramic views to guarantee the envy of your social media friends, but if you want to go the extra mile visit April-mid May hike or take your bike all the way up from tibble Fork to kimball camp you must be in good shape for the adventure ahead, but you will be the only human in there and that is priceless!
May 28 · REVISTA ARMASIncredible 360 views and good primitive camping area. It is a plus to have the stream running through it as well!
July 15 · Jory SchmidtI love dispersed camping and this is one of the most epic and gorgeous places I’ve parked to stay the night (I ended up staying two nights because there was so much to do!) Amazing views and friendly neighbors. Two downsides: getting up there is intense! I highly recommend an All Wheel vehicle that can handle steep/bumpy dirt roads. And two: be prepared to get very dusty—any time a vehicle drives by (and it’s pretty frequent) you’ll get hit with a mini dust/sand storm. Despite that, it’s more than worth it to check out at least once.
August 06 · Luke AlbrechtJust 36 minutes from my door in Lehi and it's like you're in Switzerland 🇨🇭. How truly blessed we are for Mount Timpanogos, Malo!
