This region is a beloved playground for Minnesotans, renowned for its extensive forests, numerous pristine lakes, and diverse wildlife.
The campground's location offers a fantastic balance of accessibility and remote wilderness feel. While it provides a sense of seclusion, it is generally easy to reach. From Minnesota Highway 61 (the North Shore Scenic Drive), you can access County Road 7 via various routes. For instance, from Schroeder, you would turn onto County Road 1 (Cramer Rd), follow it for about 10 miles (where it becomes County Road 8), then turn right onto County Road 7 and proceed for about 4 miles until the campground entrance appears on your left. Ninemile Lake Campground Reviews
Beautiful location. Many sites right next to the lake. The sites are a little close together, but seems semi private because of lots of trees. Has a short hiking trail across the gravel road. Boat access with a decent size parking lot.
Nov 25, 2024 · Lee WitteThis campground is a hidden gem. The lakeside sites are very large and quite private. Being right on the lake is fantastic for canoes and kayaks. Friendly host, clean facilities. Close to several state parks and a lot of lakes with east public canoe/kayak access. Very buggy (like much of the Northwoods in the summer months). Bring mosquito headnets and bug spray, and a screen tent if you plan to sit outside your tent much.

Jul 08, 2023 · Jaime HerediaLake view sites were awesome! Pulled our canoe right up to our site. Great for fishing, close to the north shore for hiking but still feels far enough away! Will definitely be coming back ☺
