New London Reservoir Campground Reviews
We camped here for 20 years, as seasonal campers. It was better when there was on site management, although she was not always honest. We had to give up our site this year, due to health problems. It has been hard to get some things done because neither my husband(health issues) or I (lumbar spine replaced with titanium)can lift. We do not have a lot of help. The campground director moved the deck to a new site for the people who bought it. He does help when he has the time. He bought our shed. But he moved it to his site & cut the lock off of it before he paid for it. I asked him not to cut the lock off it. Now we need to get our boat. My husband & son went on Saturday to get it. The tire was flat. They worked on it for hours. We need to get another tire. I just heard he said he was going to scrap our boat. I guess waiting 1 more day was just too much. Called this morning, but of course no one is in the office.
May 12, 2025 · Rene' WendlingReally nice place. Has camping areas, PUBLIC fishing, & 5$ boating rentals. Very big. Looks like a fun place to sled and will be really lovely when summer comes back around. I believe there is even a swimming area with a small beach. Close to a Golf course also.
Feb 08, 2019 · Jessi LoveI would not recommend this place for camping! My family reserved a camp site and was told it was near the water. We arrive and it is no where near the water so we said something to the very young children that was running the store and they got into a golf cart and showed us options for another spot. We picked one had our tent up, fire going and cooking dinner and now a new worker comes up and tells us they made a mistake and we need to move to a new spot! We were told the new spot did not have a fire ring so we could not have a fire to even finish our dinner for our children! So we said give us a refund and we will go home! They agreed to and now refuse to refund me the full amount back and next to impossible to get a manager to call me back and explain why she lied to our family!! We use to love this place but since they have children running the store this year and made a mistake on their part and refuse to pay us our money we won't go back and hope nobody has to go thru what we went through!!! The campers that showed up that had originally reserved the site we were on was even disgusted with how the staff treated us when telling us to move when it was the staffs mistake! The other staff lady was very very rude with us and treated us poorly for the other staff members mistake! They even said it will be their last time camping there! Nobody should be treated like we were then keep our money cause they screwed up!!
Jun 22, 2020 · Jodi NealCalled and reserved a campsite and found out I reserved it at the wrong campground and when asked for a refund of $120 they said they can’t put it back on my card that they have to send it to this person then to the next person then to a town meeting before they can write me a check mind you I paid them when I reserved the site on 6/28/23 and the town meeting isn’t until 7/10/23 and they will mail the refund after it’s approved at the town meeting other than that the place is laid back nice place clean and the campers are all friendly
