Nahma Resort Campground Reviews
First of all this is not a resort by any stretch of the imagination there are no amenities of any type just water and electric sites on grass. The ground is very solid so even though it had just rained we had no issues. The road going through the campground is very narrow and rough and full of potholes. The sights are level and it is very peaceful and quiet, enjoyed stargazing and watching meteors. The restaurant at the Inn is a quaint little bar and food was very good and bartender was very friendly. CG host was very friendly. Too bad the owner doesn't see the need to put a little money into the campground as this is in a great location.
Aug 13, 2021 · D LyonsNot only where the staff incredibly friendly and courteous, they went above and beyond and helped me and my daughter out when a surprise tropical storm!!! came in. Being a city slicker I didn't know what I was in for but Paula and Bob made sure I had adequate shelter prepared for me and my daughter that night. And trust me I needed it greatly at about 2:30 in the morning when the lake decided to come in to my tent. the next morning they came to check on us to make sure everything was okay and helped us gather our things. All-in-all if it wasn't for those two that could have turned out to be a terrible adventure. The campground was nice there was power and water hookups, adequate space ,well-maintained property and a beautiful view of the lake. Old ruins around and lots of history in that town. Great for people who want to go exploring, fishing and history buffs. The local inn and restaurant has great food and friendly staff. . .. from the moment I got there the place felt like a second home.
Jun 25, 2020 · john zoidburgThis place is horrid. All of the recent reviews are spot on. I called to make a reservation and the person answering said I didn’t need to as they had plenty of room. When we arrived, we found out why. This is NOT a “resort” by ANY stretch of the imagination. It is an unkept, poorly maintained, and SCARY BAD field where there were a few trailers parked. It was hard to tell if they were even occupied. It looked like most had been abandoned. There was no one in the “office” and when we drove in we noticed that it was a field surrounded by swampy water which looked like it probably bred millions of mosquitos. It was not mowed or even remotely maintained. It really looked like the place had been just abandoned. We immediately found the exit and got out of there. There was no way we even considered spending the night there. It was not just “bad” it was “scary bad!” I wish there was a way to give negative stars because this dump would rate a MINUS 10!
Jul 16, 2023 · Steve DerebeyBooked the cabin for 4 nights, we didn't expect a luxury cabin but what we got was pretty bad. The cabin smelled musty/moldy, the carpet, the couch, the beds, everything! Even after we opened all the windows the smell just stayed. The couches are worn out, not comfortable to sit on. Wi-Fi only worked at the office building, no sand beach for swimming and the water by the cabin is brown and murky. Overall, $125 per night for the cabins is way overpriced and if we had not prepaid we would have left after one night.
Jul 21, 2017 · Marion MellarRented a cabin with nobody at office for check in. Sign on door stating he was at a festival across the lot in a red golf cart. Cabin was cozy and very musty smelling. No air conditioning and back porch rail hanging on by 2 nails. over grown grass and sandy area in back that was septic area. No sandy beach, no game room, very rustic resort, no wifi. Very creative website must have been done by a realtor 😭
