Muskegon KOA Holiday Reviews
We had a great stay at the Muskegon KOA! We booked a lovely lakefront rustic cabin and really enjoyed the walking path around the lake and the docks for fishing—especially enjoyed fishing right at our own site. The kids had a blast at the basketball court, and there was plenty to keep us all active and entertained. The staff were absolutely wonderful—very helpful, attentive, and friendly without being intrusive. There was an incident where the septic system backed up in the main bathroom, but maintenance had it handled and resolved very quickly. We were honestly impressed with how efficiently and professionally the staff took care of it, especially on a busy weekend. One small suggestion: it would be great if the rustic cabins included a microwave and mini fridge. We’ve enjoyed this amenity at other KOAs, and it really makes a HUGE difference for families. The “beach” area could use a little TLC—it could benefit from more sand and general upkeep, as it didn’t seem ideal for swimming. That said, lots of kids were still enjoying the water off the dock and floating raft. There is some highway noise since the campground is right off the expressway, but it didn’t bother us at all.We loved how close it was to Michigan’s Adventure, Muskegon Lake, and Lake Michigan. It made for a jam-packed weekend full of fun! Overall, a great campground with awesome staff—we’d definitely return!

Jun 22, 2025 · J SWe stayed at the Muskegon KOA over this Father’s Day weekend. It was such an amazing experience. We rented one of the cabins. With my spouse and I, as well as our three children, the cabin fit us perfectly. It was clean and in a great spot on the lake. The beach and park was clean, there were tons of fishing spots, and the staff made sure there were plenty of activities to keep us all busy. The store was stocked with everything we needed at very reasonable prices and the staff was SO kind. An added bonus was that it was only 3 miles from Michigan’s Adventure. We will DEFINITELY be going back.
Jun 16, 2025 · Brit BruensWe decided to give this campground a second chance after hearing they were under new ownership and couldn't be more pleased that we did. Our stay was great! The staff was very friendly, our son loved the kids' crafts, and the camp store was clean and had a good variety of items. Our lakefront site was amazing. We will definitely be returning in the future.
