Munising Tourist Park Campground Reviews
We spent four nights camping in one of the rustic tent sites and it was a wonderful experience! You can't beat camping literally on the beach with beautiful views of Lake Superior. The bathroom facilities were well maintained and ice/firewood was easily attainable from the main office. There is a walk from the parking area to the rustic tent sites, but the provided wheelbarrow made transporting our gear very easy.A word of warning - we discovered the painful nuisance of stable flies! Bug spray does not work on them, but long, loose fitting pants helped keep them from biting. We really enjoyed our time here and would love to come back again!
Jun 24, 2025 · Amanda EthierHonestly my favorite camping spot in the UP. I've been all around, but this is definitely my favorite. We camped right on the beach, away from others. Would come back. My only concern is the bathrooms. So one of the building is being worked on, that's completely okay. The other building...well I was making eye contact with every woman who stepping into the bathroom. I mean the stalls had 2-3inch gaps. There was no privacy. And trust me I went in all the stalls, I could see out fully. Others could see me... Very uncomfortable. So please fix this 🙏
Jun 25, 2025 · JoBeautiful campground on Lake Superior!! Gorgeous sunrises and sunsets! Camped on Lake Superior easy access to kayak from campsite. Full hook ups, water and electric only along with primitive; dump station, playground A number of sites to see nearby, Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, Bay Furnace, waterfalls and lighthouses.
Jul 02, 2025 · Tammy DThis is my opinion and should be taken as such. On our great lakes tour, this by far was Superior 🤦. Right on the water site 78. The campground has full hookups, partial hookups and a bunch of tent sites. The sunsets were awesome here. The proximity to the local attractions is close. We did end up getting lost on some dirt logging roads on an adventure to Kitch it kippe. Which was so worth the ride. We also went to Oswald's Bear place. This was pretty amazing as well and worth the ride
May 23, 2025 · Jody BatesRV park right on the Lake Superior, beautiful sunsets. Big spots, some full hookups some not. Some spots require long connections to water and electricity. Verizon and T Mobile service is ok. Some spots back up right to the lake. Office with some gifts and firewood. Bathroom, shower, and playground. Right next to the road, you can hear some noise. Great base to visit Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore.
