Mud Creek Campgrounds

15420 E 146th St, Noblesville, IN 46060, USA

4.0
My wife and I had purchased tickets to Sessanta 2.0 at Ruoff Music Center last fall and never got around to booking accomodations. Closer to the date we realized it was the same weekend as the Indy 500, so accomodations were scarce and pricey. After days of searching we stumbled upon Mud Creek Campground. I called to make sure the grounds were active, as did my wife before reserving a spot. The folks we spoke with were easy going, friendly, and incredibly helpful and accommodating. Easy to find, BEAUTIFUL property, plenty of seclusion for primitive camping, and a 5 minute drive to the venue. We plan to stay here again the next time we're in town for a show. Cool people, cool spot. - Jeremy Scrimager

Services Offered

Mud Creek Campgrounds is primarily a primitive camping facility, focused on providing spacious and private sites while offering essential amenities for a comfortable stay. Their services are particularly tailored to concert-goers and those who appreciate a more rustic outdoor experience.

  • Primitive Camping Sites: The campground specializes in primitive camping, meaning sites do not have electric or water hookups. This allows for a truly immersive outdoor experience. Campers are encouraged to bring their own flashlights, bug spray, and other essentials for off-grid living.

  • Tent and RV/Camper Sites: While primitive, both tent camping and a limited number of RV/Camper sites are available. For RVs and campers, there are no hookups, but gas generators are welcome. Visitors interested in RV or camper spots are advised to contact the campgrounds directly for availability and pricing, as these are limited.

  • First-Come, First-Serve Camping with Reservations: While campsites are generally first-come, first-serve, a reservation secures a parking spot on the property (excluding RVs/campers), allowing you to choose your desired tent pitching location upon arrival. They pride themselves on not overbooking, ensuring ample space and privacy for guests.

  • Portable Toilets and Rustic Showers: To enhance convenience, the campgrounds provide clean portable toilets and a rustic shower facility for all campers. The hosts are planning on expanding and adding more showers in the future.

  • Shuttle Service (for Concerts): A significant convenience for concert attendees, Mud Creek Campgrounds offers a shuttle service to and from Ruoff Music Center. Drivers work for tips, providing a safe and easy transportation option, allowing guests to avoid parking hassles at the venue.

  • On-site Firewood: Customers have noted that firewood is readily available for purchase, making it easy to enjoy a campfire at your site.

  • Flexible Payment Options: Payments can be made via credit card, PayPal, Venmo (with a 4% service fee), or Zelle (no service fee), offering various convenient ways to secure your spot.

  • Adult-Oriented Environment: All campers must be 18 years of age or older, and IDs are checked upon entrance, contributing to a more mature and perhaps quieter atmosphere, especially during concert events.
