★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Went to Mountain fun campground this past weekend, June 27th through 29th, for the first time. The campsites had a campfire, a grill, areas for a tense space, areas for a pop-up camper or an RV, shaded areas, and very easy access to the beach. This is the best of the best when it comes to campgrounds you wake up and you’re looking at the beautiful blue water that consumes Bear Lake. Access to the lake is a short 30 second walk. I did see some other people posted reviews of there being stickers in the grass and bushes, I will note that this is very true. I would bring closed toed shoes, I wore Chaco’s, and my son wore crocs. As long as you have shoes on, you aren’t getting stabbed by the dangerous prickly stickers though. Overall, this was an amazing trip, quiet hours are after 10 PM and although the campsite was fully booked, it seemed like at night, It was just the stars and us. I would definitely book this campsite again and I would definitely go back to this campground 1 million times I highly recommend to anyone looking to take their family on a fun outing for the weekend on the water.
July 01 · Brooke McKinnonNot worth the $60 — unsafe and uncomfortable I stayed one night at Mountain Fawn Campground and was really disappointed. The tent area was completely full of rocks, making it almost impossible to sleep comfortably. Even worse, the entire site was covered in sharp burrs/spurs that stuck to everything — shoes, feet, gear, and even the tent floor. They can easily poke through fabric and make the place feel uninhabitable. also there was no shadeFor $60 a night, I expected a basic level of maintenance and comfort, but this site felt neglected and overpriced. There was no clear or safe place to set up a tent, and overall the area was not family-friendly or enjoyable. I wouldn’t recommend this campground to anyone looking for a decent camping experience.
May 26 · Mario BThe campground itself is nicely laid out, but many of the sites share water taps. Meaning that the electrical pedestals may be on the opposite side of your rig as the water, necessitating long runs for either the power or water. Also, while our stay was in early June 2025, the park couldn't provide maps nor guidelines/rules and regs, and the entrance office staff was less than helpful or enthusiastic about our arrival. Just not very welcoming.
June 13 · Eddy ProvostWhat an awesome place to camp right on the water! The campground was extremely clean with well sized sites, power, and water hookups. Each site had a picnic table and plenty of room for parking. I did not see a camp host on site but someone came around each day selling firewood if needed and there was access to purchase ice if needed as well. There are multiple vault toilets but no showers. Don’t forget to bring your own extra toilet paper as they did run out the weekend we were there but it was a holiday weekend. Also there is no shade so bring a canopy or umbrella for your site or the beach :)
May 31 · Jennifer HoferWe love the campground. Beautiful views. As a side note- our site requires 50 feet water hose.
