🌊 A Lake Lover’s Dream — Great CampgroundMoccasin Creek State Park Campground easily ranks as one of my top lake-access campgrounds! As a solo traveler with a dog and a paddleboard in tow, this place had everything I could’ve hoped for and more. The lake access was a dream, calm, beautiful water, and a perfect cove to explore safely on my paddleboard. I was out there for hours soaking it all in. They even had a boat launch and a dock great for paddlers and boaters alike! My campsite was nestled right next to Moccasin Creek, and falling asleep to the sound of the flowing water was simply heavenly.🎣 It was a joy to see kids and adults fishing side by side, proudly showing off their catch of the day.🚿 The bathhouses were clean and pristine, and the laundry facilities were just as well kept. Staff was kind, helpful, and full of that welcoming Georgia charm.🐶My dog and I had no trouble walking the grounds. There’s tons of open grassy space, and the property is very pet-friendly and safe for leashed walks.Right across the street, some amazing nature trails and full of beauty. The highlight of our hike? Spotting a black timber rattlesnake in the wild! It was calm and majestic, and we were able to safely observe it and pass by. A once-in-a-lifetime moment for this snake lover! The campground has kayak rentals, a playground, and endless ways to enjoy the outdoors. It’s an ideal spot for families, solo adventurers, and nature enthusiasts alike.I still find myself daydreaming about the lake and the calm that comes with it. Moccasin Creek is truly a special place and I can’t wait to return - Misty-Roze Krukoski
