As a public campground, typically managed by a state or federal agency (like the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in cooperation with Ohio State Parks for Berlin Lake), Mill Creek Campground generally operates with standard pricing and may not offer frequent "promotions" in the same way a private business would. However, campers can often find value through:
- Seasonal Rates: Pricing may vary slightly between peak season (summer) and off-peak (spring/fall) or winter camping, if available. Booking during less busy times can sometimes lead to better availability and potentially lower rates.
- America the Beautiful Passes: For eligible individuals (e.g., seniors, those with permanent disabilities, military personnel), federal passes like the America the Beautiful Senior/Access Passes are honored for half-price camping fees, provided the pass holder is present and occupying the site.
- Online Reservation Systems: While not a discount, using online reservation platforms like Recreation.gov allows campers to easily view available dates and compare prices for different site types (electric vs. non-electric), ensuring they get the best available option for their needs and budget.
- Extended Stay Discounts: While not officially advertised for this specific campground, some public campgrounds may offer slight reductions for very long-term stays, though the length of stay at Mill Creek is limited to 14 days in a 30-day period.

Mill Creek Campground Reviews
Nice size sites on a large lake. The bathrooms and shower houses are dated. Hard to beat the price and if your camper is self contained, it’s a great value. I’d recommend to have a boat since not a ton else to do.
Apr 07, 2025 · James FrostSites we uneven and full of ruts. Very muddy. The water fill was difficult to use didn't make sense
Jun 12, 2025 · Timothy GriffinWhat a dump. Insane sketchy campers, police and rangers patrolling every 15 minutes, very grumpy unhappy campers. Every campground we have been to this year have all been polite accept here. Would not recommend. Sites are gravel from 10 years ago and site are not level at all. Everything is mud and grounds are not well taken care of. We would come here a couple times a year but not anymore. They have done no improvements for years and it’s getting extremely run down.
Aug 04, 2024 · Daniel SlagleThis is a glorious campground beautifully situated that is kept impeccably clean. This is our fourth stay here in as many years. The only drawback and, it’s a doozy, is their late check-in practice. Two nights in a row an immediate neighbor arrived past 11 & began unloading & setting up camp. Last night they arrived at 12:30 & didn’t stop making crazy noise (setting up a very old pop-up trailer, unloading their truck, talking at full volume, & dog barking) until 2:30AM. We reminded them that we could hear their conversations & that it was 1AM. To be fair there is a posted number to call regarding night noise disturbances but there’s nothing to be done about an ancient pop up whining & moaning & needing to be banged into position. The website explicitly states no checking in after 10. I’d like to encourage them to become more strict about allowing late comers. We mentioned it on the way out & we’re met with a stoned faced, “I’ll pass it on to management.” Which was deeply unsatisfying hence sharing our experience here.
Aug 30, 2024 · Shannon CallahanOur family loves to come to this campground. The sites and views are beautiful. You can swim from so many different places. The place is usually full, but people don't bother you. There's park Rangers and a sherif that patrols every so often. We look forward to camping several times each summer!
