Oct 14, 2021 · HiwakaiDogs allowed? Yes. Wood vending machine? Yes. Lakes? Yes. Mountains? Yes. Solitude? Sort of...Community camping means noisy neighbors and occasional road noise, but it's still well worth it. A stunningly gorgeous place to camp, we will definitely be back!
May 29, 2021 · Emily MichaelA great camp site with tables and fire pits. Water stations are nearby for dishwashing as well as a firewood vending machine. Hot showers available nearby, but bring quarters!
May 23, 2023 · James HwangI go to this campground every year in late March. Just me & my dog.If you want to spend your nights in the most beautiful and serene place on earth, then you won't wanna miss staying here.Every year up til this year the showers were coin operated. Now they are FREE!! There's nothing better than a hot shower after walking in the woods all day. Well one thing is better, that they are free! The park rangers come by almost hourly to check/clean the bathrooms & campsites. And after my dog & I got a little too far from the truck & wasn't back til way after dusk the park ranger waited at our truck to let us out the gate so we weren't locked in all night! She wasn't upset at all, just wanted to make sure we were OK and got out the gate before locking up.When we hike we don't use trails so sometimes making it back before dark is a challenge. I appreciated her waiting on us. As that walk back down the mountain in the pitch dark wouldn't have been my cup of tea!You won't be let down staying here. It's my home away from home!!
