July 11 · Zac ChristensenMy girlfriend and I came up here just recently and we only stayed one night when we were going to stay two because one of us fell ill unfortunately but the over all experience was great! The fishing was not the best for shore fishing but heard a few people on boats bragging about catching the "big one" on a boat as they jumped off their motorcycles and onto the boat they caught it on. I tried everything from worms to bright green garlic powder bait with an additional power bait oil. I also tried about 8 different spinners with no luck. Although I did not catch anything it was a fun experience and an old wise man once said, "If you do not catch anything, don't blame the experience, blame yourself for not being prepared."The sites we're clean with lots of space and free drinking water. Everyone was considerate of the quiet times and it did rain a bit but only at night and it was a nice refreshing change to the warm night.Considering it's only 18$ for up to 14 days I'm not sure how you can complain.Neighbors were kind and talked more that anyone of neighbors in the city and had plenty of info if I needed it.I'm not quite sure why the first person on here would complain about the site because it rained like it's the fault of the site, It's called camping for a reason. Just like preparation for food, water and other things needed. That is on you for not checking or just being unaware that it rains more in the mountains. I give that first review -1*.Hope this review helps but my girlfriend her two kids my daughter and I had a very memorable and enjoyable experience and will be going back!
July 23 · **My wife went up here camping, just like we do every year and usually love it. There is usually a camp host and they are usually great, but I guess there wasn’t one this year. So the people that operate it came through and they were very pushy and not friendly and disrespectful towards my wife and kids. She told me that it was a good thing that I wasn’t there.. Not sure why they felt that they needed to act this way, but that doesn’t seem like a good way to keep people coming back to their camp ground.
