Nestled along the beautiful shores of Lake Pepin, a natural widening of the Mississippi River, this park offers stunning views, a relaxed atmosphere, and convenient access to one of our state's most beloved waterways. Whether you're a tent camper looking for a simple, scenic spot or an RVer needing electric hookups, Maiden Rock Village Park provides an inviting setting for your next outdoor adventure. It’s an ideal choice for those who prioritize breathtaking scenery and a laid-back vibe over crowded amenities, making it a favorite among locals in the know.
Visitors consistently rave about the "wonderful views" at Maiden Rock Village Park, a testament to its prime location right on Lake Pepin. Many campers appreciate the park's uncrowded nature, allowing for a more serene and personal outdoor experience. The self-pay system ($15 cash for tent camping, $25 cash for RVs with electric) is highlighted as convenient and budget-friendly, making a spontaneous overnight stay or a planned weekend trip easy to manage. Campers note that the "breeze right off the lake/river" can be particularly refreshing on buggy days, a welcome relief during warmer months. While the proximity to active train tracks is a recurring mention, with trains passing throughout the night, many, like one reviewer who used earplugs, found it manageable and didn't detract from an otherwise great experience. The chance to wake up early and witness a spectacular sunrise over the water is a common and cherished memory for those who stay here, solidifying its reputation as a unique and memorable Wisconsin camping spot.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Wonderful views! Cash drop off area $15 for the night. Not too crowded, however it’s stationed next to the train tracks which goes off throughout the night every 2-3 hours. Got up early to see the sunrise!
September 23 · Ailee NeumannHad a great experience at this little park! I almost hesitate to review it because I appreciated that it wasn't overflowing with people. $15 cash/night for tent camping, $25 cash for a camper/RV with electric. Perfect for buggy days with the breeze right off the lake/river. Only subtracted a star to note that it's right next to the train tracks, so we did have significant noise throughout the night. My earplugs worked great and had no problem sleeping, but I could see the noise being a factor if I had forgotten ear protection.
June 18 · Ashley PetersNice place with electric ⚡ hookups for trailers/RV. Though definitely a bit noisy between trains and Harley Davidson motorcycles. However, the beautiful view and bald eagles made up for it.
April 26 · Kurt GuentherAbsolutely gorgeous location. However the trains run about every 2-3 hrs. We’re so used to finding last minute camping places with trains - that it didn’t phase us too much. The view, price, electric was worth it.
July 05 · Rusted RoseWe stayed one here 6/22, everything in the area was full, Saturday, and there was plenty of spots, 50 amp, no water, right on the water though. Three port a potties and flat grassy area. The train runs real regularly but it didn’t bother us. In town and quiet. We will stay again. $25.
