Mackinaw City / Mackinac Island KOA Journey Reviews
Had a great experience here. We arrived after the office had closed, but spoke with Jasmine ahead of time who explained the process for finding our lot. She was super nice. Check in the next morning was easy. Bathrooms are nice and clean. Most lots are shady, though, there are a few at the end of the campground that are unshaded. Didn't use the pool, but seemed to be well-kept. A few yard games like corn hole are available as well. All of the other guests were polite and evenings were quiet. Free shuttle to the ferry us available, which makes it super convenient. About 2 miles from downtown Mackinaw City restaurants, gift stores, groceries, and hardware. Overall, great experience and we will definitely stay again if we are in the area!
Jun 14, 2025 · Margaret Tse FittingWe have stayed at many KOA while traveling and this one is top tier service and cleanliness. All the staff was friendly and the owner helped remedy a small inconvenience himself. The pool is great and there is a very nice trail on the north side of the grounds that leads to a great bike path.
