Lower Beach Campground Introduce
Nestled along the shores of the beautiful Starvation Reservoir in Duchesne County, Lower Beach Campground offers one of the most sought-after camping experiences in central Utah. This campground, a part of the Fred Hayes State Park at Starvation, is a favorite among local users for its unique proximity to the water, providing a true "beachfront" camping feel. It is a well-maintained and welcoming destination that caters to a variety of campers, from families with children to RV enthusiasts and tent campers. The atmosphere here is centered on fun, relaxation, and easy access to water-based activities. The campground’s design, with its sites running along the reservoir's edge, provides stunning views and a cool breeze, making it an ideal spot for picnics and longer stays. Visitors often praise the overall cleanliness and the convenience of having so many amenities close at hand. This is a place where you can spend your day swimming, fishing, or boating, and then retreat to your campsite for a relaxing evening, all just steps from the water. Its popularity stems from its ability to combine the best aspects of a state park campground with the unique appeal of a lakeside retreat, offering a more engaging and active experience compared to more secluded, remote campgrounds.

Lower Beach Campground Reviews
The Lower Beach Campground at Starvation State park is great, and I prefer it over all of the others at the park. The proximity to the beach is fantastic, and that is the best feature. If you have a larger rig this campground can be tricky. The majority of the camping spots are back in, and the largest of them limits you to 35 feet. There are two pull through spots, site 1 and site 18. However, neither of them are particularly long. Also, the only sites with a sewer connection are site 1 and site 18.We visit starvation every year, and our trip is always better if we can get a lower beach camp site
July 19 · Ken BakerGood campground. Clean bathrooms. Basically beach front
June 25 · Pattie ChristensenGood campground, specially the ones next to the lake.
September 14 · di&fam GarciaRead my review of starvation to get more detailed information, but this is the best campground to stay at by far! Lovely beach view and so close to the water. We take kayaks, jet skis, boats, and more up every year and it's the best trip of the year, this campground is a big part of that. Fully finished bathrooms and showers, full hookups and great views. Can't complain!
July 13 · Matthew SargentBathrooms and showers were not very clean . Shower walls needs a new painting and flooring needs washing daily shower curtains gross with fungus .bathrooms toilets and sink area filthy. Especially so during covid 19. Lawn area should be pebble rocks would look much better can't grow grass anyways..would have stayed at the mountain view less crowded but didn't see it on your web page
