★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1We have never camped here but have visited many times and love the area. It is always clean and a fun spot for the kids to explore around.
September 09 · M HThis trail I will return to again and again. It meanders to different types of forest, you are treated to oak and ponderosa with a bit of juniper and then move into Douglas fir and Aspen. Lots of history as well and the wild horses are such a treat if you're lucky to see one.
January 01 · AzearthmamaThis has the potential to be a great campground. During our day visit, it didn't look to be maintained well. The road in the campground was washed out bad and there was trash around the area. There were also some shady characters who looked like they had been there a while, yelling and behaving oddly. The nearby spring and trails were nice, along with the history of the barn and such. Nice sunset views in the meadow to the west.
December 11 · Jessica DunningWas told on Tuesday Oct. 20th by a Ranger that Los Burros would be open til the end of the month. Plenty of dispersed camping. Drove up Wednesday Oct. 21st to find that the campground was closed on Monday Oct. 19th. Beautiful area. No one around. Awesome. Stayed 4 and a half days. Had a huge Mtn. Lion cross in front of my truck approximately 6 miles before the turn off to Los Burros on the 260 Fall colors were amazing.
October 29 · John GerschGreat for those that like dispersed camping and free camping. There are outhouses there but, no trash, and no other convinces. You bring everything you need in and pack everything out. There are $3 showers and free water at the RV park maybe around 10 miles from the campgrounds. The camp host is great and will give you directions. There are a nice set of trails there if you are interested in hiking, that are in the pine forest. LOVE IT THERE
