LoMo's Camping Retreat Reviews
I just got back from a weekend at Lomo's Camping Retreat. It was exactly the kind of quiet getaway I needed to escape the craziness of city life. This place is so peaceful. As soon as we got there, it was like everything slowed down. No car horns, no crowded streets—just the sound of nature. Lorene was such a gracious host and made sure we had everything we needed. She even made us some of the best roasted corn I've ever had. We got a large campsite for the camper and also had enough room to pitch a tent for the boys. It was so quiet at night I could actually hear myself think. The sites are nicely spaced out, so it felt like we had our own little corner of the world. There’s a trail that winds around the camp perfect for an easy walk to stretch through nature. We also spent some time doing nothing but relaxing. Lorene lit a bonfire, and we hung out just chatting and enjoying the fire. It was simple, no-frills stuff, but it felt so good to just be there. It’s a quiet spot to get away from the fast pace of the city and just breathe. I’m already looking forward to going back.
September 04 · Kyle MonroeHad an awesome weekend camping at LoMo's with my 5 year old son. He loved the community games (giant uno and connect four) and cooking smores. Taking the go cart around the property was so cool for him to experience. We will definitely return in the future!
