Loleta Recreation Area Reviews
Really nice campground and swimming area. The campsites are varied so you can get the feel you are looking for. Rocky, grassy, flat, sloped, you name it. Tons of wildlife everywhere. We saw too many deer to count. Rattlesnakes are fairly common in this area so keep your dog on a leash and use a little common sense before running barefoot through the forest. Camp host has firewood and ice.
Aug 27, 2024 · Ed AllegrettiGreat camping area, with a cute swimming hole nearby to cool off in. Met a few regular and returning campers while visiting, who said there was always something new to discover. We couldn't agree more. Great for campers of all ages. We had campers on either side of us, but managed to feel secluded. The bugs weren't too bad, and there were endless wildlife areas to explore. Would definitely return.
Nov 06, 2018 · Kit TeaNice campground to get away from it all. Our site was a little muddy but most were really dry for a rainy weekend. Loved how private the sites were. No cell service with Verizon. It was an unexpected treat to disconnect which you don't find in many places anymore. There is no dump station at the campground but we dumped on the way home. Great fishing and a nice little beach for the kids. Definitely will have to visit again. The guy on site taking care of the place was super friendly.
Jun 15, 2022 · matt “Campingmatt11” sHad great time , caught some trout , showers and bath rooms were ok also, nice place will go camping there again sometime.
May 19, 2024 · James Ferrington SrStumbled on to this gem last time camping. Beyond pleased with it and will be going back! Extremely affordable, you can pay by each day or all at once! There are showers and inside restrooms. Beautiful views, nice trails and nice water areas like Creeks and the damn. You can fish there also. The camping spots are all nice and everyone seemed extremely clean and nice.
