★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1What an awesome time my husband and I had!! Such a peaceful, clean and beautiful park! We stayed in site 10 shelter! We normally bring our tent, but this was one heck of an easier set up!! Bathrooms are very clean and well kept too! The ONLY thing we have the “complain” about is the boat ramp. It truly needs some lights to see what you’re doing. Other than that, we will be back!!
October 27 · Jessica FultonBeautiful Park for camping on Lake Whitney! Sunset is amazing. Very peaceful now but the boat ramps are closed due to flooding so it may be more populated and busy when that is open! 30 amp electric. Nice spots! 10 pm entry curfew! We have to move sadly because we are here for rodeo which we drive to and we can’t make it back by 10 pm. We learned the hard way! I learned when my flight here was delayed and my RV home is in the park with my family! The park is patrolled for security and we feel safe here. Hill County LEO drives by. Maybe making sure no one is trying to use the boat ramps! If you are fishing, be sure to have a license to fish.
June 05 · Kiki TikiRestrooms: 5 🌟View: 5 🌟Road noise level: 3 🌟Neighbor noise level: 2 🌟Wildlife: 4 🌟Site accommodation: 4 🌟Visited site #22 at the end of a peninsula. Secluded and very comfortable. There was trash about the waters edge (beer cans) however, quite clean directly around the site. Wildlife consists of ample birds. Wrens, Cardinals, Robins, etc. Restrooms were close and very clean, equipped with showers. The neighbor noise was loud music, and a teenage girl was screaming and cursing until 3 am. to someone on her cell phone.
March 10 · Dom JotLove overnight camping always love the water here but went to a new spot this time and it needed to be sticker free tho need mowed but otherwise it usually always trash free . so couldn’t enjoy so much with pets I don’t care for the check in and check out times I feel like it should be earlier in the day .
July 07 · Jamie PerezSpent a couple of beautiful days at lofers bend west camping on the lake! The first day was really windy and a little bit chilly but I was able to get a spot in the trees which was a little bit more protected because the park wasn’t completely full that night. The next day I moved to another campground that my friends had reserved and the wind died down enough so that I could get out on the kayak. The water was still pretty rough but I was able to paddle all the way out to the island we’re all the birds are and it was amazing. The scenery was beautiful the cliffs were beautiful and the sunset was amazing. The next couple of days were not nearly as windy but the park was completely full because it was a weekend and the weather was so great. There were lots of kids around and the campground was very active but the noise was kept to a reasonable level and no one disrespected the rules by playing music too loud at night or anything like that which was very appreciated. One thing I would recommend is that it’s better to get a campsite within the trees instead of closer to the boat ramp because the spots by the boat ramp or not protected by trees and are completely out in the open to the wind if it’s windy. The campground was kept very clean and there were plenty of supplies in the bathrooms and trash cans around.I would definitely return to this camp campground it was a great value for the cost and beautiful views!
