Llamaland Tent Camping

Camping farm ★4.0

9059 Co Rd 2403, Tool, TX 75143, USA

4.0
Our small Girl Scout troop really enjoyed a laid back first time tent camping experience here at Llamaland Ranch. We opted for the pavilion site so we had access to running water, electric outlets, a really nice grill, and a small mini fridge. It was the perfect set up and for an experienced camper like myself it really felt like glamping. Judy and her son were very helpful and friendly. They provided plenty of feed for us to feed the Llamas and we didn't have any issues with them. The llamas were very gentle and curious. They came and went several times during our stay to visit us and other people in the other campsites. It was a beautiful place and I plan to come back out with family and friends in the future! - Jennifer Hutson

What is worth choosing

Llamaland Tent Camping offers a truly one-of-a-kind experience that sets it apart from traditional campgrounds in Texas. The main reason to choose this location is the incredible opportunity to interact with the friendly and curious llamas. As multiple reviews point out, these animals are a joy to be around, making a simple camping trip into a memorable animal encounter. The owners, Judy and her son, are consistently praised for their hospitality, helpfulness, and genuine warmth. This personal touch creates a welcoming atmosphere where guests feel valued and taken care of, a quality that is often hard to find in larger, more commercial camping operations. This high level of customer service is a significant factor in making a camping trip feel like a true escape.

The versatility of the camping experience is another major selling point. While it is primarily a primitive tent camping spot, the option to rent the pavilion site transforms it into a "glamping" experience, complete with running water, electricity, a mini-fridge, and a grill. This is perfect for those who want the feel of being in nature without giving up all the modern conveniences. This flexibility makes Llamaland suitable for a wider range of campers, from those who prefer a more rugged experience to those who want a few comforts from home.

Furthermore, Llamaland Tent Camping provides an excellent value. For a reasonable fee, you not only get a peaceful and scenic campsite but also the unique and engaging experience of being a part of a working llama farm. The fact that the property is owned by a woman and run with such care and attention to detail adds to its appeal. It’s a great way to support a small, local business while enjoying a fantastic and unforgettable vacation. The combination of its unique offering, personal customer service, and family-friendly environment makes it a highly recommended choice for anyone in Texas looking for their next great outdoor adventure.
