★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1This camping site is a beautiful and peaceful retreat nestled near Belton Lake. The natural surroundings create a serene atmosphere that's perfect for unwinding from city life. The staff were friendly and accommodating throughout our stay. The facilities are well-maintained and include everything you'd need for a comfortable camping experience. While the RV sites don't have direct waste hookups (which would have been convenient), they do provide accessible waste dumping facilities elsewhere on the grounds. All other hookups and amenities were present and functioning perfectly. One of the best aspects was the safety and family-friendly environment. The proximity to Belton Lake public beach is a major plus, giving us easy access to swimming and water activities during our stay.Do note that it gets quite hot during daytime hours, so come prepared with shade options and plenty of water if visiting during warmer months.Overall, a wonderful camping experience in a gorgeous natural setting with attentive management. Would definitely return!
March 24 · Amandakonda Arachchige Isuru GunarathnaBeautiful place to camp. I was absolutely thrilled with a beautiful condition of the campground. There is plenty to do and see. I will certainly come back.
August 31 · William FergusonLet me 1st off say, this place is awesome. This has to be the best campground we have ever stayed. Extra friendly staff, Lee is an awesome guy. It stormed on us when we first arrived, Lee called and made sure we were ok, considering we were staying in a tent. They have where you can park at the top of the boat ramp area, then a very short walk, bring your stuff to go fishing, on the banks or at their dock. Extra clean campgrounds, restrooms with showers. The common areas are clean, just very helpful and friendly people everywhere.
April 30 · Michael ClardyLive Oak is our more frequented stop. The grounds are very well kept and we enjoy the fact that there is no day traffic. The park is well shaded and family and dog friendly. The location is super convenient to town for those forgotten items. There is a small playground that the kids seem to enjoy when they are taking a break from fishing or riding their bikes.Mr. Lee is always so friendly and really makes our stay wonderful. If you see him around the grounds he is happy to answer any questions you may have.
March 17 · Kelsey HoxseyOutstanding Experience at Live Oak Ridge – Best Corps Park We’ve Stayed At!We stayed at Live Oak Ridge for six nights in February/March 2025, and we were thoroughly impressed. After 30 years of RVing and staying at numerous Army Corps of Engineers parks, we can confidently say this is the best-run Corps park we’ve ever experienced. From the well-designed site layout to the meticulous upkeep, everything about this park exceeded our expectations. The cleanliness, tree trimming, aesthetics, and outstanding staff made our stay truly enjoyable. On Day 3, we encountered an electrical issue—we had 30-amp power but not 50-amp. I mentioned it to two park staff members, Lee and Brent, assuring them we’d be fine on 30 amps. However, they insisted on fixing the issue immediately. Despite it being a Sunday, they worked diligently until everything was fully restored. Their dedication and professionalism made a huge impression on us!Because of this experience, my wife and I have decided to make Live Oak Ridge a regular stop on our future trips. We highly recommend it to fellow RVers looking for a top-notch Corps park with exceptional service and a beautiful setting.Thank you to the Live Oak Ridge team—especially Lee and Brent—for making our stay unforgettable! My wife said she was worried this might make more people stay here and we might not be able to. I’m posting it anyway! 😁
