Lewis & Clark Caverns Campground Reviews
The central bathrooms are nice, with coin operated showers, and coins exchange machines. the bathrooms ones around the periphery are just outhouses. The playground in the center felt out of place though it was nice..sort of felt like a liminal place.Overall the camp ground was great, the amphitheatre showing, hosted by the park, in the evening was a pleasant treat to the evening. Each site had a trashcan. There was an RV dump and fill spot. There are few hiking trails around the area. The one we went on had some blocked off mine enterances and historical plaques that overall, enhanced our cavern tour the next day.
Oct 03, 2024 · Josh JosephGreat spot to camp either in a tent or RV.Tent sites are first in first serve unless you book ahead and we got lucky 😉Toilets are clean and tidy and the ground had a great vibe.Easy drive in the morning up to the caverns which was worth a look too.We didn't hear any road noise at all.
Jul 07, 2024 · Rosco AndrewThis was a very nice campground with running water, showers, and flushing toilets. We stayed in the cabins, they were nice but the only problems were the door screen had some holes in it which let's bugs in if that bothers you and there was no ladder to get up to the top bunk of the bunk bed, that might also be an issue for some. The key also didn't work, but overall, the cabin was very nice and came with a fan. The campsites were a good space away from each other and well kept. The showers and toilets were fairly clean. And every night, while walking to the bathroom, we saw a deer. Park rangers were very friendly, and overall, I would stay here again.
Aug 18, 2023 · Frog N FriendsNice campground, friendly host. It’s electric only at the RV sites but there’s potable water at convenient locations and at the dump site. The sites can accommodate large rigs, vans, tents, pop-ups and towables. There’s shaded spots and open, your choice. There’s reservable and first come, first serve spots as well. The sites are relatively level, quiet and clean. I’d stay here again if coming back this way just to avoid potential noise from staying near I-90.
Jul 09, 2024 · Vincent SheridanThis campground did it all for me. Spacious sites, electric, quiet, lots and lots of birds. Easy access to cavern tours. We had fabulous weather.
