Lakeview Campground Reviews
One of our favorite places to camp. Sites are clean, level, easy to get in and out of. And the night sky is incredible.
Jun 08, 2025 · Ron WalterThe campground is nice and clean, nice even paved roads, full hookups, covered picnic table, firepit, amazing views of sunset over the mountains and unfortunately the view of really low water in the reservoir. We had site 17 to see the lake from the camper entrance. Also a available were ADA campsites and tent sites, as well as public restrooms. The kids loved riding their bikes, the roads have inclines. The only disappointment was the water level was so low, there's no swim beach anymore, and the boat ramp water level is at the end of the ramp built, we had to walk quite a ways to set up a canopy and chairs, the dry cracked ground is old lake bottom with dried crab parts and dried footprints from someone walking when it was wet. There was only a few fishermen and one other family with us for the entire lake.
Aug 30, 2022 · Dani FordCampground itself was kept very clean, nice views, no issues w hookups. Good firepits, they tell you to buy wood from them. Staff was very friendly tho. Water level of the reservoir was extremely low, like 20ft+ low. Fishing can be done w a boat/kayak/SUP, but shore fishing was a waste of time. Swimming we couldn't really do since there was no swim beach (it's a couple hundred feet from where the closest water is easy) and it was so muddy. Overall had a fun time.
Aug 13, 2022 · Joe FordThe campgrounds at rifle gap are super clean!
Jul 03, 2025 · Bill BarbeeThe campground is nice and I believe every site has a covered picnic table. Nice view of the reservoir.
