Lakeside RV Campground

Campground ★4.0

4000 W Center St, Provo, UT 84601, USA

4.0
COULD be a really nice campground with a little TLC. Sites are small and our picnic table was totally unusable because of the wasps making it their home and it was covered with cottonwood tree cotton. Lots of full time people. Not allowed even a propane fire pit in pull through. It was quiet and lots of nice trees though. - Conni Canaday

Lakeside RV Campground Introduce

Welcome, Utah explorers, to Lakeside RV Campground, a popular and convenient RV park located in the heart of Provo. As a professional content writer specializing in local business SEO, my aim is to provide you with a detailed, engaging, and factual overview of this unique camping destination. Lakeside RV Campground offers a distinct experience, blending urban accessibility with the essential amenities that make for a comfortable stay. While it may not be a secluded mountain getaway, its location and services make it a practical and appealing choice for travelers passing through or those looking for a base camp to explore Provo and Utah Valley.

Lakeside RV Campground is a place with a diverse reputation, and it's important to understand its unique character. It's not a traditional, rustic campground; instead, it's an urban RV park with a high number of long-term residents. The park is characterized by its abundant mature shade trees, which provide a pleasant and cool environment even during the hotter months. It is known for its amenities, including a swimming pool, laundry facilities, and a playground, which are all great for families. The campground is noted for being "good for kids" and is also very "dog friendly," featuring a dog park. The key to a good experience here is managing expectations, understanding its urban setting and its function as a year-round residence for many.

Lakeside RV Campground is located at 4000 W Center St, Provo, UT 84601, USA. This central location places it in Provo, just a short drive from downtown, Brigham Young University (BYU), and the I-15 freeway. It is, however, located near the Provo River and the Provo River Parkway Trail, which is a significant highlight for many campers. Its proximity to the Provo Airport means that you will likely hear the sounds of aircraft, but for some, this adds a unique and interesting element to the stay. The campground is also conveniently located near major retail centers, grocery stores, and restaurants, making it easy to stock up on supplies.

Accessibility is a strong point for Lakeside RV Campground. It has a wheelchair-accessible entrance, a wheelchair-accessible parking lot, and wheelchair-accessible restrooms, making it an inclusive option for all visitors. The campground offers various parking options, including on-site parking, a free parking lot, and free street parking, which is a great convenience. The sites themselves are generally level, which is a major benefit for RVers who need to set up quickly. While some of the interior roads can be tight for larger rigs, the overall layout is manageable.
