Lake Tahoe KOA Journey Reviews
All I can say is WOW! The customer service at this KOA campground is above and beyond! They are friendly and happy to help. Check in is a breeze and they were amazing accommodating us when we had some issues of our own (not of their things or doing). We went Memorial Day weekend 2025 and the pool was opened. It was actually pretty warm considering the 70-75 degree mountain weather. Kids loved it and I would have definitely jumped in myself. Bathrooms & showers were exceptionally clean and they didn’t kill you on the camp store prices like most campgrounds do. The kids also loved the playgrounds there. The sites are close together mostly, but I didn’t feel impeded on by my neighbors. Everyone camping there only had nice things to say. Our family of five will definitely be back!
May 27, 2025 · Dani GoodloeThis is the best campground we’ve ever stayed at! The hospitality was fantastic, super clean and well taken care of. We’re traveling in a 19ft RV for our honeymoon. They upgraded our campsite complimentary so we could be secluded on the river. The river provided wonderful noise that you can hear throughout the campsite so no matter where you were it felt like you were secluded. The pool, bathrooms, general store, and laundry room were all spotless all the time. Plenty of hot water for showers and plenty of showers. They opened the store for us after hours because we forgot to buy water after a long day at the lake. They delivered everything to our site- firewood, ice, charcoal. There was a dog park for our pups. It was beautiful and will 100% be back again!! Thanks to the Perez family for a wonderful stay!
May 11, 2025 · Ainslie WilsonPrices are high, $200 a night for pull through site. The guy who helped was nice and a young teen too. But there was a lady with long black reddish hair that was rude. She was approached about no toilet paper in the woman’s bathroom and she very rude.
Jun 28, 2025 · lizeth GuerreroLoved staying here! Beautiful location next to the river and gorgeous scenery. We especially recommend if you are traveling with dogs. The staff was very kind and even gave our doggies little bandanas. Additionally the bathroom/showers were super clean and felt like home. Would stay here again!
Apr 24, 2025 · EmmaWe stayed here for 1 night, we had a good stay here, but there is nothing to walk to in the immediate vicinity. Because we usually choose a koa if possible, we were shocked afterwards by the price for what we got. With a 10% discount we still had to pay $125 for 1 night and that was certainly not worth it and we felt a bit cheated. Never had such an expensive overnight stay in all the years that we have been making a road trip in the United States.
