My sister has a cabin in McCloud which is too small for company so she suggested renting a cabin here.We stayed two nights.Mice poop in all the kitchen drawers and in the bathroom.The window frames where crusted shut with dirt so you couldn't open them so we had to run the AC though it was very cool outside at night.The walls were coated in dust.Water damage to wood floors in the bathroom & near windowsThe low ceiling of the loft mades it too difficult for older adults to move about so you have to crawl. There were two narrow mattress pads of dissimilar heights so you could not put them together to make a surface suitable for an adult anyway. So we put them on the hard futon and equalized them with pillows.The towels are very thin and cheap. After drying off from my shower I noticed I was covered in lint.No cable, no TV reception. This is a remote location.There was no answer at the office when we noticed the DVD player wasn't working. So we called security to see who to contact. Clarence said he was nearby and would come right over himself. Turned out the remote was missing one of two batteries. He left and returned right away with a replacement. He let us know there where free DVD loans at the store. Thanks, by the way.So we went up to pick out a DVD.Turned out there were only about a couple dozen to choose from. The one we picked was so scratched we quit watching it.This is a great location. I just would not recommend staying at these cabins.

Arrived after a long 7 hour drive and got turned around finding our site. A friendly guy (Brian) on a golf cart noticed and asked if we needed help, then took us to the site. During setup of camp, our dog Jake slipped out the truck door and we didn't notice. Golf cart Brian brought Jake back over to us, and kindly reminded us to keep him leashed. We got to chatting, and Brian gave us excellent recommendations on places we can take Jake to swim on the river since he can't go to the beach in the campground. He also recommended a couple places for great food in town, and told us how to find the falls and a cool lava bed. Most of the staff was cordial, but Brian made us really feel welcomed. We enjoyed our first time here and can't wait to come back in the fall.

Came to Lake Siskiyou Resort for a family reunion. The view and the lake are priceless. However, if you rent a cabin, BEWARE! The large cabins are advertised as sleeping six but there are only beds, linens and dishes for four. There is one queen size bed and two bunks or cots or sleeping mats, depending on which cabin you get, which are all useless for a teen or adult. The bunk beds are tiny and have a foam that is old and useless. I was forced to sleep on the couch, which was unbelievably uncomfortable. It was probably recovered and had spring inserts that didn’t fit the cushion covers. I could feel the springs with my hand.The curtains are sheer and there was no curtains on one of the windows. The kitchen sink leaked like a sieve.

This is a great campground with full and partial hook up sites and tent sites. They also have several cabins for rent close to the lake. The grounds are clean. It is easy to get to off of I-5. They have a little store on site as well as a restaurant. This is a great location if you're looking for a weekend getaway or several weeks of trailer camping. Once you get settled in, take the 7 mile drive up to Castle Lake. It's spectacular and has wonderful hiking trails. Enjoy.

Place is awesome. The beach and splash zone are great for the kids. Only 3 bucks per adult to get into park. Kids free. Nice store for food and drinks. Easy parking and short walk to beach area. For trailers its different. Just like all parks and camping around the area, getting a spot ahead of time is difficult. If you can reserve your spot ahead of time for camping then you set.
