Lake Rosalie Park and Campground Reviews
Nice freshwater lake. Note there are alligators in the lake. Water and electricity $20 a night. Small boat ramp.
Mar 15, 2025 · Joe PinkertonHidden gem! Only planned to stay a few days and ended up staying 3 week! Myself and another tent camper were the only ones there most of the time. I was in front spot closest to water with absolutely beautiful views which has a ramp for boaters to come into park to launch boats. Quiet, peaceful and very clean park. Marvin was the perfect host and very accommodating. His bathrooms and showers were very clean. Has 30 and 50 amp hookup, water, picnic table and fire pit. No sewer but there is a dump station at beginning of park. Also, could not beat the price $20 a night first come first serve. No reservations taken.
Jul 14, 2022 · Christine SandersPretty little county park with water and 30 amp. Bath house available. Very nice family atmosphere. Sites scattered all over but we did well with our 35 ft class A with toad on Sat night in March. Beautiful lake.
Mar 14, 2021 · Lynn OlsonMy local campground, great place to camp, hangout and awesome lake and boat ramp. The new guy at the entrance could be a bit friendlier. Pretty sure he got voted off of some HOA position somewhere LOL.Update: The old guy by the park gate for some reason thought that locking the gate at 6:30pm while i was driving out of the park in my (utility vehicle) was a good idea because he wanted to let us know that UTVs are now on the list of vehicles not allowed in the park.I have never been disrespectful with him but he has been very disrespectful with others as you can see in other reviews. I will accept the rules no problem even thought i use mu utv to take my boat out the lake as my utv is tagged and registered. Locking the on us scared my wife.I noticed as have other reviewers he has become racially selective towards hispanics and black people. That is not a good thing for someone in charge of a gate on a public park in Florida. I will seek further legal advice and update soon.
Mar 31, 2024 · Rafael RiosI would love to say what a beautiful camp ground, fishing dock or boat ramp this campground has.... but when entering the park at creeping speed due to 2 men talking in the middle of the road and going off the road to give them plenty of room, I was flagged down by one of the men who quickly told me he was the park manager and to slow down to 5 mph ( I might have been going 7 ). I suppose when the look of disbelief on my face kicked in when he told me it was 5 mph til I got out of the gate, I took this as I wasn't welcome to "HIS" county park. With this said @polk county what a way to make a tax paying resident feel welcome!! Never mind a person visiting the area!!I won't be back !!
