Lake Mary Ronan Lodge Campground Introduce
For us Montanans, finding that perfect spot to reconnect with nature, enjoy pristine waters, and experience the Big Sky Country at its finest is always a priority. The Lake Mary Ronan Lodge Campground, located in Proctor, is one such destination that offers a unique blend of comfortable camping options and access to a vibrant lake community. While the Lodge itself is celebrated for its fantastic dining and amenities, the surrounding campground offers a more traditional outdoor experience, making it a versatile choice for locals looking for a memorable getaway.
Lake Mary Ronan itself is a gem, known for its excellent fishing and serene setting, often less crowded than the more bustling Flathead Lake, yet still conveniently close. The area provides ample opportunities for both relaxation and adventure, whether you're bringing your own RV, pitching a tent, or simply visiting for a day of fun on the water. This combination of natural beauty and thoughtful facilities makes the Lake Mary Ronan Lodge Campground area a compelling option for Montana residents seeking to explore their own backyard.
It's a place where you can immerse yourself in the tranquility of a lakeside forest, spend your days reeling in fish, or simply unwind by the shore. The appeal lies in its ability to cater to various preferences, from those seeking full-service amenities to others who prefer a more rustic, self-sufficient camping style, all within the breathtaking backdrop of Western Montana.
The Lake Mary Ronan Lodge Campground is situated at 52012 Lake Mary Ronan Rd, Proctor, MT 59929, USA. This address places it directly on the shores of the picturesque Lake Mary Ronan, a beautiful, smaller lake just seven miles west of the much larger Flathead Lake. The location offers the best of both worlds: the peaceful ambiance of a smaller lake with easy access to the extensive recreation and services of the Flathead Lake area.
Access to the campground is straightforward, typically involving a turn off US-93 N at Dayton, followed by an approximately 8-1/4 mile drive northwest on Lake Mary Ronan Road. While it feels wonderfully secluded, the road access is generally good, allowing for easier travel with RVs and trailers. The surrounding area is part of the beautiful landscape of Western Montana, characterized by Douglas fir and western larch trees that provide ample shade and a true forest feel.
For Montanans, the proximity to various attractions is a significant draw. While the campground itself is a destination, it also serves as a convenient base for exploring:

- Outdoor Activities: The region abounds with hiking trails, mountain biking opportunities, and wildlife viewing, including the National Bison Range about 60 miles south.
RV Sites with Full Hookups: The Lodge offers dedicated RV sites, many with beautiful lake views. Fitness Center: For guests looking to stay active, a fitness center is provided.
Camp Store (Summer): A fully stocked summer camp store is available at the Lodge, likely offering basic necessities and fishing supplies.
Potable Water (State Park Campground): While the Lodge's RV sites have water hookups, the nearby Lake Mary Ronan State Park Campground has potable water available seasonally (May through September).
Clean Restrooms (State Park Campground): The state park campground also offers well-maintained pit/vault toilets and potentially flush restrooms, along with clean showers.
Lake Access and Water Activities: Lake Mary Ronan is renowned for its excellent fishing, stocked with kokanee salmon, trout, bass, and perch. The ability to rent various watercraft directly from the Lodge, or launch your own, makes water-based recreation highly accessible.

Lake Mary Ronan Lodge Campground Reviews
Wouldn’t let me just review the lake so I had to do the lodge campground. Great place for a day at the lake, tends to get packed quick though on weekends and holidays
Jun 24, 2021 · Amber BradleyWe greatly enjoyed our dinner and evening walk at Lake Mary Ronan Lodge! The outside seating, bar, and indoor seating were beautiful, all the staff and new owners were wonderfully pleasant and attentive, and the food was fantastic, best we've had in this entire area, kudos to the chef! The ribeye (served with delicious mushroom risotto) and cioppino (special) were perfect, as were out appetizers of scallops and crab cakes. So happy to have found this, we will go back often! Thank you!
Aug 15, 2021 · Ellen WilburWe wish our stay was longer than 4 days! The owners were available and helpful. Nick was awesome! Helpful, knowledgeable and just plain friendly and great conversationalist. Hoping to return in 2022.
