Lake Hope State Park Campground Reviews
Such a wonderful experience! Staff were so welcoming. Our camp site (038- no electric) had a beautiful view and was set off enough from others to feel private. It was close to the lodge and lake. Plenty of amenities at the welcome center and firewood (cash only).I’ll def be back for another long, relaxing weekend at Lake Hope campgrounds.
May 29, 2025 · Stacy SmithI stayed in one of the Lake Hope Iron Furnace cabins this past week for a work training and had a wonderful stay! The cabin was a great price, clean, and to my surprise had more amenities than a hotel! The cabin had a furnace but I still enjoyed making a fire in the fireplace at night, cooking dinner in the fully equipped kitchen (they even provided any cooking ware or utensil I could possibly need), fresh clean bedding and towels, cable tv, a nice hot shower. I honestly wish the cabin was my actual house. I am shocked that I appeared to be the only one staying in the cabins, it is winter but I think these cabins would make for a great vacation in any season. Thanks for having me I will definitely be back!
Jan 31, 2025 · Hayley BarrettI stayed in cabin number four . The cabin was clean and very affordable.I was surprised how nice it was. I have already made reservations to go back again I highly recommend!!
Jun 11, 2025 · Charity SmallwoodWent camping with a buddy of mine for two nights (had to cut it short to one night because of bad weather). The area was clean and peaceful. However, we stayed at campsite 168, and boy is it HILLY. This site is set on an incline and it really did not help us sleep that night. Trying to set up a chair close to the fire was rather hard too since you either felt like you were falling forward, sideways, or backward. Over all though, it wasn't terrible. I'd definitely go back but will have to make sure the plot we chose isn't at an angle.
Nov 15, 2024 · GehrigSuper nice, spacious campground. Would have liked more options as far as toilets but we didn't search too hard for them either. Showers were really warm just not a lot of space to do much with changing (I just ran to a dry stall in my towel) beautiful trails and quiet. All-star of our trip has to be Harlod he was super nice and informative we weren't going to make it to the gas station till he saved the day so thanks again guys we had a great time!
