Lake Hill Campground

Campground ★4.0

Manti LaSal National Forest, Forest Rd 0052, Ephraim, UT 84627, USA

4.0
Nice little pond full of stocked fish. The campgrounds are hilly and rocky so it’s difficult to find a spot to set up a tent. We never saw the camp attendants, I’m not complaining, but they never stocked the toilet paper or cleaned the outhouses so it was a wreck. The people next to us were listening to music real loud and riding loud four wheels way into the night. We had a good time fishing though and the area is gorgeous. Big pines and cedars. Lots of wildlife. - Bryan Tincher

Lake Hill Campground Introduce

For those who cherish the natural beauty of Utah, a visit to Lake Hill Campground offers an authentic and memorable outdoor experience. Nestled within the expansive Manti-La Sal National Forest near Ephraim, this campground is a perfect base for exploring the stunning mountain landscapes of Central Utah. It’s a place where you can trade the sounds of the city for the rustle of big pines and cedars and the serene quiet of a high-elevation forest. Whether you're a seasoned camper or looking for a new family tradition, Lake Hill Campground provides a beautiful setting for all your adventures.

This campground is not without its rustic charm, which is part of its appeal. While some visitors have noted that the sites can be "hilly and rocky," this is a small price to pay for the "gorgeous" surroundings and abundant wildlife. The area is known for its serene pond, which is regularly stocked with fish, and its proximity to a network of hiking and mountain biking trails. The peaceful atmosphere, coupled with the natural beauty, makes Lake Hill a true gem for anyone seeking to immerse themselves in the great outdoors.

Location and Accessibility

Lake Hill Campground is situated on Forest Road 0052, off Ephraim Canyon Road in Ephraim, UT 84627, USA. At an elevation of approximately 8,400 feet, the air is crisp and the scenery is breathtaking. It is conveniently located just five miles east of the town of Ephraim, making it easily accessible for a weekend getaway from many of Utah's population centers.

The accessibility of the campground is good, with a paved road leading into the area, though some of the interior roads and parking spurs are dirt and can be rough. As one reviewer noted, the campground's terrain can be "hilly and rocky," which can make finding a level spot for a tent a bit of a challenge. However, the campsites can accommodate trailers and RVs up to 30 feet, and the wheelchair accessible parking lot ensures that campers of all abilities can enjoy the area. The on-site parking at each campsite provides convenience and easy access to your vehicle.
