4.0
Site #9 & 80. Large campground with a mix of clean flush/vault toilets and hot showers We have stayed on the Meadow which has stunning views, but tends to get windy and can be noisy, and we have stayed in the “RV” loop which does not have any hook-ups and does not allow tents. All sites have easy access to miles of trails that crisscross the meadows and small lakes. As you hike the meadows you will be greeted by herds of grazing cows. Lots of big trees and shade, and is usually much cooler than the city in the summer. We really enjoy coming here, we will be back again soon. - Paul Grenier

Location and Accessibility

Laguna Campground is ideally situated on Mount Laguna, within the picturesque Cleveland National Forest in San Diego County, California. Its address, 468-470 Los Huecos Rd, Mt Laguna, CA 91948, USA, places it in a prime position for locals seeking a mountain retreat that’s both immersive and conveniently located. Mount Laguna is renowned for its higher elevation, which translates to significantly cooler temperatures during the summer months compared to the coastal and inland valleys of Southern California. This makes Laguna Campground a popular and much-desired escape when the city heat becomes intense.

The accessibility of a truly "dense wooded area" that "feels like you're in" a remote wilderness, yet isn't far from home, is a significant draw for local Californians looking for a quick and impactful nature escape.

The road to Mount Laguna is well-maintained, ensuring relatively easy access for various vehicle types.
