Summer 2024 camping trip was excellent! Our first time here, and it didn't disappoint. Beautiful crystal clear lake with a walking path all the way around. No bikes are allowed on the path. The campground was busy, but the sites were very private.Bathrooms are all throughout the campground - we lucked out with a flushable toilet and running water one near us, but there were some outhouse style ones, so just don't fall down the deep dark hole!Lots of reviews noted the washboard road coming in... Yes, it is WASHBOARD. Bumpy lumpy bumipty bump. It's probably 6-9 miles long. We survived just fine in a truck, keeping speed at 40 mph when no other cars were passing.Garbage didn't seem to be an issue during our stay. Was clean, and many huge garbage cans are provided throughout. There is a water spicket near each campsite. Also, some other things to note:- NO CELL SERVICE- VERY DUSTY, YOU CAN NOT ESCAPE IT UNLESS YOU BAIL IN THE LAKE- NO CAMPFIRES ALLOWED (August)- QUIET TIME 10PM-6AM (There's always those obnoxious ones who like to party into the wee hours, so bring earplugs if you don't want to hear the echos of lunatics!)-There is a parking area next to the lake if you don't want to hike from your campsite. It's a ONE WAY road loop around the campground, so you'll have to circle.Had a fun trip overall. Kids will be excited to go back someday! - J T

Despite its popularity, the campground maintains a sense of privacy, allowing visitors to truly immerse themselves in the surrounding wilderness. Location and Accessibility

Jubilee Lake Campground is strategically situated in the vast and beautiful Umatilla National Forest, an area known for its diverse ecosystems and stunning natural vistas. The specific address, Forest Service Road 64, Oregon, USA, places it within a reachable distance for many Oregon residents, making it a convenient choice for a quick escape or a planned vacation. While the journey to the campground is undoubtedly part of the adventure, it’s important to note the nature of the access road. Visitors frequently mention that the final 6-9 miles leading to the campground consist of a washboard gravel road. This means a bumpy, lumpy ride, and while it's manageable for most vehicles, trucks and SUVs will likely navigate it with more ease. Maintaining a speed of around 40 mph is often recommended by those who have successfully traversed it. Despite the road's condition, the consensus among visitors is that the destination is well worth the journey, offering a secluded and serene environment that feels far removed from everyday life. The remoteness also contributes to the lack of cell service, a feature many embrace as a true disconnection from digital distractions, encouraging a deeper connection with nature.

Services Offered
  • Restroom Facilities: The campground is equipped with bathrooms located throughout. While some are modern flushable toilets with running water, others are outhouse-style facilities. This variety ensures convenience, though visitors might prefer to locate a flushable toilet for added comfort.
