John's Campground Reviews
Very clean and quiet place! So glad we stopped here! I highly recommend this place! We loved it and we're certain that you will too!
Apr 22, 2025 · Katie B.What a beautiful spot! Clean, well maintained and peaceful. It was very easy to set up the rv. The sites are spacious, too. We walked around the grounds and I don't recall any that weren't on the water. Mr. Bill, Ms. Mary and Ms. Malia were so helpful, friendly & fun.
Oct 08, 2024 · Pam BlevinsThis campground is in a great location for those who like to fish or spend time on the lake. There are a number of spaces available with private docks, and the area is very quiet at night. It is not a full hook up in the traditional sense. Everything for dumping is available, but the campground uses above ground holding tanks for black water which you are responsible for emptying at additional expense. It's not really a big deal; it's just more of a nuisance. My low rating has everything to do with the owner and his unscrupulous business practices. We stayed at this campground every other week during a work contract we had in the area, and prior to arrival we were given an all inclusive monthly price for rent, water, and electricity. After a few months, the owner came to me and said he needed to increase our agreed upon monthly price due to his miscalculation in electricity cost. I initially agreed to pay an overage fee based on an assumed monthly rate. When I explained to him that I would only agree to it if I had assurances that he wouldn't come back to try to increase rates again, he became visibly angry, and claimed he was offended. He said we were free to leave if we didn't like it, and that was correct because he owns the place. We chose to leave because this man is absolutely not trustworthy. His business practices are dubious at best, and dishonest at worst. He clearly can't be trusted to do what he says. Should you choose to rent space here, I highly recommend you get your deal in writing so he is forced to abide by the letter of a contract; otherwise, you will likely find yourself in a similar situation because he is simply a shady businessman. The best thing you can really do is just not stay here. Find another place to rent.
Aug 10, 2021 · Chris OwensEverything was great until it was time to actually move to my lot(that I already payed a deposit on). This man wanted to basically “interview” me before moving. Well I had some plans that weekend and he got VERY rude with me on the phone and told me it sounded like I had other obligations to tend to. Would not recommend renting from this man at all. Horrible customer service and horrible attitude.
Apr 16, 2020 · Blaine BennettCalled about booking a site and had everything just about ready to go except I wanted to wait to hear back from one more campground before booking. Owner got mad and told me that was okay and that we didn’t need to rent. Didn’t take me long to realize all the bad reviews this man already had were true. Do not stay at this campground.
