Joes Valley Pavilion Group Campground Introduce
For Utahns planning a large gathering, a family reunion, or a group camping trip, the Joes Valley Pavilion Group Campground provides an exceptional and spacious solution. Situated in a high mountain valley overlooking the stunning Joes Valley Reservoir, this site is specifically designed to accommodate large groups, offering a dedicated space where everyone can gather comfortably. It's a fantastic alternative to trying to coordinate multiple individual campsites, providing a central hub for all activities. With its breathtaking views, essential amenities, and proximity to a wide range of recreational opportunities, this campground is a premier choice for any large-scale outdoor event.
The pavilion itself is the heart of the campground, a large structure that offers a sheltered space with multiple picnic tables, making it perfect for group meals and gatherings, regardless of the weather. The site is part of the Manti-La Sal National Forest, and while it is set in a high desert environment with sagebrush and limited trees, the vistas are expansive and the night skies are spectacular. This unique setting, at an elevation of approximately 7,000 feet, offers a refreshing escape from the lower desert heat, making it a popular choice from spring through fall. The campground’s reputation for being well-maintained and clean, with a responsive and helpful camp host, adds to its appeal as a reliable and welcoming destination for group campers.
The Joes Valley Pavilion Group Campground is located at Forest Road 0121B, Orangeville, UT 84537, USA. Its position on the Wasatch Plateau in central Utah makes it a manageable drive for many residents of the state. From Orangeville, you will take State Road 29, which winds through a beautiful mountain landscape. The campground is situated just above the Joes Valley Reservoir, with a short turn-off from the main road.
The campground offers a large gravel parking area that provides ample space for multiple vehicles, including RVs and trailers. Its accessibility is a key feature, as it is designed to handle a large number of guests and their vehicles. A significant benefit is the wheelchair-accessible entrance and parking lot, ensuring that the site is welcoming to all visitors. While the area is rugged and natural, the direct access from a forest road and the ample parking make logistics for a large group gathering much simpler.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Great spot for a big group!! The pavilion has 10 tables in it and 3 outside by the fire pit. The views of the reservoir are amazing. The bathrooms are.close by, kept very clean, and smell a lot better than most. Only issue that we had was not many nice places to put a tent. This site is geared towards camp trailers. The camp host, Wayne, is amazing!!! He was very accommodating when we had a hard time getting reservations online.
