Jackson Wellsprings is conveniently located at 2253 OR-99, Ashland, OR 97520, USA. This places it approximately 2.5 to 3 miles north of downtown Ashland, a vibrant Southern Oregon city renowned for its arts scene, particularly the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, and its beautiful park system.
For Oregonians, reaching Jackson Wellsprings is generally straightforward. From Interstate 5, you would typically take Exit 19 (S Valley View Rd) in Ashland. From there, you'd navigate onto W Jackson Road and then Highway 99, with the destination located on the right. Its close proximity to Ashland makes it easily accessible for visitors coming from various parts of Oregon, whether driving from the north (e.g., Medford, Grants Pass) or the south. The location offers a balanced experience: feeling somewhat removed from urban bustle to maintain a natural ambiance, yet close enough for quick trips into town for dining, shopping, or cultural events. One reviewer specifically mentioned being able to bike into downtown Ashland via a nice bike path, highlighting excellent alternative transportation access.
However, it's important to note some feedback regarding the internal accessibility, particularly for larger RVs. One reviewer mentioned that while they secured a "full hook up RV site in a spot called the eagle's nest," it was "difficult to find on the map, and was not clearly marked." Another detailed a challenging RV parking layout, stating, "the road is one way through the parking lot and boat launch, yet the RV parking sites are laid out the opposite way forcing Trucks with RV trailers to make a nearly impossible U turn when the parking is full." Additionally, during the rainy season, large potholes and muddy conditions can make driving and walking around the campground challenging, potentially requiring "knee high rubber boots." While accessible, visitors should be prepared for a somewhat rustic internal infrastructure, especially in adverse weather, that deviates from a "polished cookie cutter campground."

Jackson Wellsprings Reviews
We had a fantastic time camping here. We lucked out and managed to get a full hook up RV site in a spot called the eagle's nest. It was difficult to find on the map, and was not clearly marked, but once we finally found it, we were pleased that it was large and secluded and had a Creek running alongside... which also means mosquitoes.. So you may want to be prepared for that. Thankfully , we had some essential oil mosquito repellent on hand. We made reservations to swim two of the evenings that we were camping. The mineral waterwas amazing.. If you are not.Used to that sort of a thing, be aware that it initiallysmells strong until you're used to it, or have a positive association. It will also severely tarnish any silver jewelry you are wearing, I learned that. The evening swim is adult only in clothing optional , I will say that more than half of the folks there chose to go full nude. So be prepared. There is a fantastic sauna and steam shower that are pretty great. The garden grounds and property was so peaceful and relaxing, the birds were singing the entire time. This is a very natural healing space. It's not a polished cookie cutter campground. The staff were more than impressive each and every person that we interacted with was professional, knowledgeable, helpful and really friendly. There is no drugs, alcohol, or smoking allowed on the common grounds which is nice to be able to camp and swim without of a bunch of loud, obnoxious people causing problems. We were bummed that there were not fire rings in each camp site. They do have some common fire rings though we did not navigate there. Also, we went during the time of year that cotton was heavily floating around in the air, so if you have any type of allergies , you may wanna be prepared for that. We brought our bikes and were able to find a nice bike path that took us into downtown Ashland where we hung out for a bit on two of the days that we camped. I would recommend this place to any of my family and friends.
Jun 26, 2025 · amber EnriquezI wish I could give this place more than 2 stars. But our camping experience here brought the rating waaaay down. It was in March and the rainy season so I expect mud. But the huge potholes created horrible conditions. You could barely drive around and walking was nearly impossible without knee high rubber boots. It seems a truckload of gravel to go a long way to make this more hospitable. We honestly couldn’t wait to leave. The hot springs pool was very nice and the locker room there was clean. Very cold tho - I don’t think there is any heat in the locker room. I would not go back here.

May 05, 2025 · Jennifer MarieAbsolutely amazing! Staff are friendly and have great energy. It's hard to take my son to some springs because clothing is optional, and hes not comfortable with that. Jackson Wellsprings is family oriented and suits are required during the day. Evenings are saved for the adults where clothing is optional and best yet, ladies night is on Monday!! The vibes are great. I can't wait to try one of the cabins by the little creek. Oh, my dogs love it too. They of course found the creek and had to do their own soaking. I also love how natural things are.
Apr 11, 2025 · Juniper SunThis place is a true gem, a community hub and mecca for natural wellness and self-care. The water in the tub and pool is very healing, and the sauna and steam room are each wonderful. Check out the community events happening, in addition to the 6-days-a-week access to these incredibly healing waters.
