Jackson Lake Picnic Site Reviews
Nice shady lake to fish and swim. And just to have picnic
Jun 22, 2025 · Rebecca SarabiaThe lake was pretty full and the scenery was nice. People were out on kayaks and some were fishing.Lots of picnic tables and the vault toilets were clean. There were no sinks. You can fish and rent paddle boats and kayaks here. Swimming is allowed, but I would question the water quality.I removed a star from the rating because it now costs $10 just to park here. It use to be free with a Forest Adventure Pass. Your normal Forest Adventure Pass for Los Angeles County is no good here or for the surrounding areas. Be sure to check where it is good. You now have to get the Adventure Pass through Mountain High (Big Pines Parking Pass). The photo I included for Inspiration Point is showing where you can get this pass.
Jul 27, 2024 · Rick SimperI have loved Jackson Lake for many years. We saw families fishing. It brought back many memories. It was lovely to see it full from the winter’s snow melt.
Jun 27, 2023 · Mary HannaCute place to hang out for the day. Made a spontaneous day trip for fishing and caught a few trout. It’s a small lake with kayak rentals. There are restrooms just no sinks. Lots of picinic space and grills.
Jun 03, 2024 · Valarie ReynaThere is no better City in California than LA for the winter, our weather is spectacular and for fun in the snow we have to travel up the mountain, more than two hours, this year we visited Jackson Lake on January 2, oh what a fun trip , there is snow up to 8 feet deep,we were able to slide and make huge snowman, a lot of people who couldn't find parking, spectacular mountain views where your mind remembered all the Christmas images of the places that are always covered in snow in that era.
